Nearly 130 million people in Brazil voted last night, and within five hours, the results were clear, trusted, and done.
Now compare that to our situation in Namibia. We have fewer than 1.5 million voters nationwide, yet our elections were hit with severe shortages of ballot papers, failing voter registration systems, and polling stations extended over multiple days.
In 2024, people were left stranded in lines for hours, and some had to be shuffled around just to cast a vote.
Its not encouraging that the PM is only acknowledging now what has been stated by Haufiku and Amupanda years go. When can we expect it to be sorted then?
