🔥 Hot take: Stablecoin payments are a deposit business disguised as a payment business.
The entire economy revolves around float: whoever holds the balance earns money on T-bills. Payments are simply a way to draw the balance toward oneself.
That’s why issuers and exchanges will prevail, while pure payment startups without access to the float will be nothing more than resellers with margins that shrink to zero year after year.
