The mother of Henry’s Nowak’s killer will be released early from prison, near the anniversary of Henry’s death - something his family have called ‘cruel’.
Kiran Kaur was sentenced to three years in jail for her role in removing the murder weapon from the scene, thereby assisting her son. But ITV News has learnt that she will serve less than half of that term in prison and will be freed as part of the government’s early release scheme.

Henry Nowak’s family were told there were 'no concerns' with officer conduct by the police watchdog, the IOPC.
In an exclusive interview with ITV News UK Editor @PaulBrandITV, the family says they were unaware of the contents of officers’ bodycam footage from the scene of the crime, which detailed the 'horrific' final moments of their son's life.
Speaking publicly for the first time, Henry's father, Mark and stepmother, Katie, said they only saw the video on the first day of the trial of their son's killer.
