Organic coffee from @BlackCoffeeMsla is my go to
Soybeans, corn and wheat are the top 3 pesticide users by total land mass However, coffee beans have an even higher pesticide use per acre A 2026 report documented 159 active ingredients used, with ~60% classified as highly hazardous pesticides and ~59% banned in the EU Fungicides, insecticides, and herbicides (including glyphosate) are commonly used This is why it's vital to use 3rd party tested, pesticide free coffee beans!

Travel tip: never trust the gate listed on your downloaded boarding pass. I’ve been burned twice in the last two weeks.

Everyone under estimates the joy of own and operating a not massive but steady and successful business. Massive requires a lifestyle. Reasonable lets you choose your own.
In my early teens, I tagged along with my dad to look at some warehouses. An older guy in denim overalls was fixing a broken bay door. He was covered in grease, had a cigar in his mouth, and spoke with a thick Texas accent. Dad spoke to this guy for a long time, so on the drive home I asked, “Why did you talk to that repairman for so long?” Dad's response blew my young mind: “He’s not a repairman. He owns dozens of warehouses and is probably the wealthiest guy in town.” I thought "successful" people wore suits and sat in corner offices, but I had it all wrong... Most of those suits are just highly paid employees. Real wealth is having money AND control. Doing exactly what you choose... even if that means getting dirty. Fast forward 40 years, and if you bump into me in Boulder there's a good chance I'll be wearing a tattered tshirt and shorts, covered with dirt and blood from rock climbing. I’m the guy in the overalls (though I’m far from the wealthiest guy in town) and I can confirm it feels pretty cool.

Cheap reliable energy is the best thing we can do. We are way behind on nuclear already - time to catch up.
Trump has ordered regulators to fast-track new nuclear plants. Democratic senators call that dangerous. “That's just a bunch of crap," says Ray Rothrock of @TheBTI, "They're afraid of something they don't need to be afraid of.” My video below covers some of their fears:

This is good life advice
There's no such thing as wealth inside The Matrix. Not even the richest people have real freedom and contentment. I had this epiphany after reaching the top of the corporate ladder and observing that most of my peers were miserable, with poor health, broken families, and no interests outside of work. At one point, my boss—a CEO worth over $100 million—confided in me: “I’m not happy and I don’t know what to do about it.” Meanwhile, through rock climbing I observed lots of people who were relatively poor, but had vibrant lives, full of adventure, connection, and meaning. These people escaped The Matrix. My friend Tom is one example: Tom has never made more than $75k/year, but lives a richer life than 99% of Americans: > Does gig work he enjoys, on a schedule he controls > Lives on $40k, invests the rest > No debt and a nice nest egg > Climbs, restores classic cars, goes to 50+ concerts a year > Travels 3 months a year > Shares a nice rental home with his fiancée @p_millerd is another example (check out his book, The Pathless Path). The lives Tom and Paul have built aren’t possible in The Matrix, where people organize their entire lives around their job, then spend all their money on stuff they don’t really want to impress people they don’t really care about. Most people don’t even know they’re in The Matrix... or that there’s an alternate universe out there of people who’ve chosen to opt out of society’s stupid games. It’s time to take the red pill: Step one is to search your soul and decide what kind of life you really want (not what society tells you to want). I call it The Ideal End State (see the comments below for more details). I’ve gone through this exercise with over a hundred people, from billionaire business tycoons to broke college students. It turns out that most of us want the same basic things: > Control of our time > Challenging, meaningful work done on our terms > A lasting marriage and thriving family > A strong, fit body > A bulletproof inner circle of friends > An inspiring place to live That life doesn’t require fabulous riches, but… It does require courage. You have to be willing to go against the grain of society. People will call you crazy. But when you make the leap, you’ll find that you’re not alone. And you’ll realize that you're not the crazy one. It's those who are still inside The Matrix.

Today the earth lost a good one. One of the best. But just hours later, my niece had a baby. It's been a day. It was an incredible life. I wrote about it here, and if nothing else, I hope my dad can give you inspiration to live a wonder of a life. lawsonchapman.substack.com/p…

We’ve used it. It works. We have bills from prior insurance from two years ago that only just recently got resolved. With CrowdHealth it was under 3 weeks. And easy.
*CrowdHealth isn’t health insurance. THAT’S THE WHOLE POINT. We all know the system is broken beyond repair. Because we’re not insurance, we can't technically guarantee anything… so we do something better: We publish a monthly transparency report. Last month the Crowd paid for 100% of eligible bills. No insurance company can match that. Those bills include plenty of catastrophic illness and injury. Brain cancer, complications after birth, etc. Our pricing is equally simple and transparent: As a member, you choose your provider and pay the first $500 for a health event. The Crowd pays the rest. And best of all, you don’t have to deal with evil insurance companies at all. In fact, we have a team that negotiates bills for you. A family of four pays around $600/month instead of $2,500+ for crappy insurance with a $5,000+ deductible. And ~90% of that money goes directly to fund other members’ health needs—not to line the pockets of insurance companies. If you’re interested in learning more about @JoinCrowdHealth, sign up for our free webinar on October 28. Our CEO will explain everything and answer your questions live. joincrowdhealth.com/webinar

Think of the terrifying future ahead: Cholula-flavored Mayo Frank McCormick’s Redhot Spices With flavor-profiles generated by an all-powerful AI that replaces every chef on the planet. Stop this catastrophe before it’s too late!
Hellmann's mayo McCormick spices Cholula hot sauce Frank's RedHot What do these products have in common? One company could soon control them all. I have concerns that McCormick and Unilever's $45 billion merger could increase YOUR grocery prices.

Over engineering to the detriment of reliability and affordability. And all brought to you by the baby sitters.
Diesel is $6.00 per gallon, but we could get 60 mpg diesel SUV’s! Why don’t we do that? The real answer is California and the EPA are making it impossible to create a super efficient diesel engine! Here’s why!

When I was in high school I’d give myself 12 hours to feel down about something. I’ve shortened that over the years. Learning to look around and ahead and not back is wildly important. Learn from the past but don’t dwell on it.

This made my day better. It might make yours too.
Me: “Wake up babe, last night David Grisman was on stage with Billy Strings and it was the first time Grisman’s “Slinky” has ever been played live.” Wife: “I’m leaving y…. Are you weeping??”
