– at Lanús Oeste, Argentina
Necesitamos ingenieros"
Gracias profe @AleCiroAlvarez por su incansable trabajo

We assembled the Avengers to tackle the grammar of RBP-RNA interactions, especially how structure shapes who binds what: @MKarimzade, Lisa Fish, Heather Karner, @jjohlin, Ali Emadi, @drklly, @BoWang87, @hsnajafabadi, @LeonettiManuel
RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) recognize RNA by sequence and shape, but which matters varies by site. Introducing Pythia, an interpretable AI model trained on a new high-resolution atlas of 67 RBPs—a collaboration between the @genophoria lab, @czbiohub, @UCSF, @Calico, and @vectorinst.

Just look at the pattern:
- Anthropic builds Claude for Science
- Midjourney pivots into medical imaging
- Cloud labs become infrastructure
- Sequencing keeps getting cheaper
- AI-native biology companies raise frontier-scale rounds
- Biology is becoming a first-class problem for AI companies
the software stack for biology is arriving fast
as usual, the therapies will get the headlines
but the infrastructure will build the next generation of iconic companies.
if you're investing in this thesis, DM.

Claude Science is incredible. I gave it some sequencing data, and in 8 hours it did a full analysis, generated figures, wrote a paper, submitted it for publication, got rejected, revised and resubmitted, got rejected again, it is now applying for positions in industry

We were promised programmable biology but we got indecipherable programming instead
Every biologist needs to try vibe coding, they're perfectly trained for it.
Who else is totally comfortable prodding alien, indecipherable blobs with vague incantations, watching them slosh and churn with only the foggiest mental model of the intricate yet sloppy machinations churning inside the box. Then getting wildly surprising outputs that you then have to patiently corral toward something that’s, if not exactly what was in mind, at least an interesting and useful creation
