When do we think Chayka will ask Willy to waive his NMC in a trade for Kucherov?

I don't see him making it to July 1st. JBB isn't dumb enough to risk that. And no team is trading significant assets for a rental without a guarantee of an extension. If you want him, you gotta trade for him IMO.

🚨 The Maple Leafs are reportedly among the teams Nikita Kucherov would be willing to play for, provided Toronto puts together a package that Tampa Bay would like, per @FriedgeHNIC “If Tampa is gonna trade him, and Toronto (or Montreal) were to put together a package Tampa would like, those are two among many teams he would be willing to play for.” Via @Sportsnet #leafs

Believe Kucherov has his eyes set on playing with another one of the league’s top superstars and has a few players/teams in mind. We’ll see what moves the Lightning can, or are willing to, pull off.

They tried saying he should be captain over Matthews for the Olympics lmaoooo

So, to recap the Larkin situation, this year he has: - Said he wants to be a Red Wing for life - Missed the playoffs again (scored one even strength goal after the Olympics btw) - Demanded a trade (but only to the top 3 US contenders) - Lost the captaincy - Begrudgingly showed up to camp (but wouldn't *really* answer any questions & got "injured) - Decided to play & said his focus was on winning games - Expanded his trade list (to the top 10 US contenders) - Publicly quit on his team for a second time Missing anything? Seems like a really easy guy to root for
