Mark Carney on what Elon Musk's throttling of Starlink means for Canada: "We do not want to be caught in a situation where we are reliant on one provider that puts Canadians at risk or compromises our sovereignty, our ability to express our values and live our values."

Trump has decided to hold me—rather than Putin—responsible for all the problems. He claims to his supporters that diesel prices in America are rising because of us, — Zelenskyy.
I find it wrong and unacceptable that Trump blames me for Russian aggression and the crimes committed by Russia. He is distorting the context, and that is unfair. In my view, this is merely an attempt to divert attention from the situation in Iran and events in the Middle East. The Strait of Hormuz is blocked—that is the true core of the problem. Yet, all of this is being pinned on us, and I, as head of state, am being made a target.

Mark Carney on Elon Musk throttling Starlink: "I search for the right adjective to describe whoever took this decision or group of people took this decision against a country that is literally fighting for the lives of the citizens against naked aggression."

So your solution is to make it easier for Putin to kill more Ukrainian children?

Big moment. Zelensky doing the only thing he can under the circumstances: appealing over the head of Trump to the American people, most of whom must surely be disgusted to find themselves on the side of Putin

If the US suspended Starlink access to Ukraine, then that is "outrageous", says former British Army head Lord Dannatt.
“Donald Trump has got this completely wrong. There is no point in trying to make deals with Vladimir Putin.”

The most extraordinary part of all this is that for an entire day *nobody* in the U.S. government wants to take responsibility for or even acknowledge the abrupt decision to cripple Ukrainian military capabilities by throttling Starlink/Starshield.

Imagine making a decision that you know will lead to the murder of innocent civilians.
By denying intelligence to Ukraine, that's what our president and his friends are doing right now
That indifference to human life is hard for me to understand.

Kyiv says current 160 km/h cap is insufficient to counter jet-powered Shahed drones
The ask: restore unlimited speed

Let’s be clear about what’s happening here: Ukraine is being threatened with starlink removal and intel being cut off for literally fighting back and defending itself. For nearly
5 years the west has been trying to get Ukraine to hold back. Utterly pathetic.

Elon Musk’s SpaceX company has imposed a 100mph “speed limit” on the Starshield military package of satellite devices.
Current and former Ukrainian officials say this is inhibiting Ukraine’s mid-range and long-range strikes.

There's no more pretense.
The shameful truth is now clear.
By withholding critical Intel and Internet services, and lifting sanctions on Russia to replenish Putin's war machine, @realDonaldTrump & @elonmusk are now fully complicit. They're on Putin's side.

Russia's unrelenting attacks on Ukraine and the intentional targeting of civilians proves that Putin has zero intention of ending this war. He is a war criminal and a menace to the civilized world, and should be treated as such.

Just so you understand the scale of betrayal: first, our "partners" didn't warn Ukraine about the incoming ballistic missiles, so the air raid alert wasn't activated before impact, robbing people of their chance to survive.
Then, Starlink was restricted to stop working at speeds above 100 mph. This renders useless, first and foremost, our interceptor drones. It doesn't limit our ability to attack inside Russia, it limits our ability to stop another apartment building or school full of civilians from being hit.
Wow, just wow.

Pretty clear that Trump/Hegseth are doing everything they can to force Ukraine to surrender to Putin by withholding all US assistance while actively helping fund the Russian war machine to kill as many civilians as possible including kids. What a dark, evil chapter in US history.

Trump has done a fantastic job in demonstrating to allies, enemies, and customers that American defense systems are as unreliable as its political systems.
