After our @NBCNews interview aired nationally on TV and being quoted in major @bloomberg and @cnn articles, we felt the need to post one last 2025 example to symbolize just how far Google has strayed from their original goal of supporting the open web which made them into the successful company they are today. Google is using our photo mashed together with other photos that arenโ€™t ours, along side a full untested plagiarized Frankenstein recipe, using our actual names (started happening after the news articles were published), our actual recipe page isnโ€™t being cited at all, and we have no way to stop this madness. This is happening to all search verticals. Hopefully this is rock bottom. Letโ€™s hope 2026 is better! Letโ€™s have a great New Year ๐ŸŽ‰ cc @rustybrick

A candid shot of the audience, Google I/O 2024 pretty much sums the event up.

Can someone here explain to me why the Python team from Google was axed? It was like a dozen guys, they contributed upstream and that company has enough cash to keep them around forever just for kicks. Am I just dumb at business?

People with ADHD, how do you read books? As in, how do you keep focus for longer periods of time? What is the secret?

Lol at RankMath's marketing still calling Yoast bloated. I could talk for HOURS about how stupid and pointless all of this output is. How it does nothing, how it costs carbon, how it's not supported by consumers, how it costs editors cognitive load, etc. What a garbage product.

I am 36, I loathed math all my life but thanks to YouTubers I got to discover HOW the ever-complicated concepts came to be. It is mesmerizing, humbling and so hard to grasp how smart some people were/are. Please, treat yourself: youtube.com/watch?v=gMlf1ELvโ€ฆ

everyone who "makes it" in the creator world has either one of two stories 1. they transferred status and money into immediate success on this path or 2. they fell in love with their work and kept doing it for years. this path #2 is the most interesting because you can sort of see with high confidence someone is going to "make it" before even they know it. They become lost in their old world, appear confusing to others in their lack of interest of monetizing or scaling in the immediate term, and most importantly, are having fun. we've seen more of path #1 too and I suspect it soaks up some of the joy that type #2 people can experience which just makes all the path #2 people more inspiring

โ€œCreativity requires a state of non control, of limitless courage and that is why conformism is creativityโ€™s worst enemy. Anyone who doesnโ€™t have the courage to take risks, cannot be creative.โ€ Oliviero Toscani.
