The most important storyline of Week 20 in the CFL is that both teams that won on Friday night had a Dutch Global player on the roster.
It’s not a coincidence and I will not accept any evidence to the contrary.
CFL history is being made today.
With Ottawa playing Geelen at kicker and Vrede playing in the Elks game, this is the first time in CFL history that two Dutch Globals are playing in the same week.
Nederland op 🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱
I’ve never seen something so weird in person.
Someone cut the back off a Geo Metro and turned it into a truck 😂
One of my favourite things is talking to newer American players and lore dropping the American CFL expansion era on them
If Canada becomes an associate member of the EU, does that mean European Globals in the CFL can become “Associate-Nationals”?
On a serious note, becoming an associate member could have an interesting impact on the CFL even if the Global program doesn’t continue.
Depending on how it shakes out, European players would no longer need work visas
A lot of negativity is out there about the dribble-kick rule.
Personally I like it, but we should all take a moment to praise the fact that we don't have fair-catch in the CFL and 1/4 of kickoffs result in no actual football being played
Biggest W of the night was this network switch surviving the whole game.
It was rained on, left in the elements, board has started corroding, and wouldn’t power on anymore.
I used a 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe on it and somehow resurrected it.
Today should be a fun one.
After working with a city electrician, our IT Manager, and digging through our treasure trove of random tech gear in our server room, we’ve become the first team to implement ethernet drops on both sides of the field.
We already had three on the home side, but now we’re able to get instant delivery from our photographers on the visitor’s side.
Best part is this cost us next to nothing. IT purchased 1000ft of Cat6, but we needed it for general office use anyways.
Aren’t you glad the CFL has timing rules that prevent teams from wasting MINUTES on the clock just running the ball 2-3 yards at a time?
Making brake caliper bracket soup.
Just need 5.5L of vinegar, rusty brackets, and let it sit for 24 hours
