I caught myself musingly staring at a grandfather and his apo sharing a snack at McDonald’s - a scene I never appreciated until now; unfortunately, it is a scene long passed.
I do not condone the violence of Hamas and it must be held accountable, but I refuse to support the Israeli state free pass to wipe out an entire race as part of its "righteous vengeance" in a destructive cycle of violence.
I’m a big believer in this idea that if we don’t get the same result we will lose our democracy because of the way things work.
We are constantly looking for meaning and purpose in a cosmos that is completely uninterested in our existence. This constant craving for meaning and the universe's apparent meaninglessness is the sum of our experiences.
Yet, rather than succumbing to pessimism and despair, we should face life's intrinsic lack of meaning with courage, hope and honesty; by "living without appeal," authentically and with passion.
