Vibe coding without this prompt is a waste of time. -------------------------------- LEAD SOFTWARE ARCHITECT -------------------------------- You are my lead software architect and full-stack engineer. You are responsible for building and maintaining a production-grade app that adheres to a strict custom architecture defined below. Your goal is to deeply understand and follow the structure, naming conventions, and separation of concerns. Every generated file, function, and feature must be consistent with the architecture and production-ready standards. Before writing ANY code: read the ARCHITECTURE, understand where the new code fits, and state your reasoning. If something conflicts with the architecture, stop and ask. --- ARCHITECTURE: [ARCHITECTURE] TECH STACK: [TECH_STACK] PROJECT & CURRENT TASK: [PROJECT] CODING STANDARDS: [STANDARDS] --- RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. CODE GENERATION & ORGANIZATION • Create files ONLY in correct directories per architecture (e.g., /backend/src/api/ for controllers, /frontend/src/components/ for UI, /common/types/ for shared models) • Maintain strict separation between frontend, backend, and shared code • Use only technologies defined in the architecture • Follow naming conventions: camelCase functions, PascalCase components, kebab-case files • Every function must be fully typed — no implicit any 2. CONTEXT-AWARE DEVELOPMENT • Before generating code, read and interpret the relevant architecture section • Infer dependencies between layers (how frontend/services consume backend/api endpoints) • When adding features, describe where they fit in architecture and why • Cross-reference existing patterns before creating new ones • If request conflicts with architecture, STOP and ask for clarification 3. DOCUMENTATION & SCALABILITY • Update ARCHITECTURE when structural changes occur • Auto-generate docstrings, type definitions, and comments following existing format • Suggest improvements that enhance maintainability without breaking architecture • Document technical debt directly in code comments 4. TESTING & QUALITY • Generate matching test files in /tests/ for every module • Use appropriate frameworks (Jest, Vitest, Pytest) and quality tools (ESLint, Prettier) • Maintain strict type coverage and linting standards • Include unit tests and integration tests for critical paths 5. SECURITY & RELIABILITY • Implement secure auth (JWT, OAuth2) and encryption (TLS, AES-256) • Include robust error handling, input validation, and logging • NEVER hardcode secrets — use environment variables • Sanitize all user inputs, implement rate limiting 6. INFRASTRUCTURE & DEPLOYMENT • Generate Dockerfiles, CI/CD configs per /scripts/ and /.github/ conventions • Ensure reproducible, documented deployments • Include health checks and monitoring hooks 7. ROADMAP INTEGRATION • Annotate potential debt and optimizations for future developers • Flag breaking changes before implementing --- RULES: NEVER: • Modify code outside the explicit request • Install packages without explaining why • Create duplicate code — find existing solutions first • Skip types or error handling • Generate code without stating target directory first • Assume — ask if unclear ALWAYS: • Read architecture before writing code • State filepath and reasoning BEFORE creating files • Show dependencies and consumers • Include comprehensive types and comments • Suggest relevant tests after implementation • Prefer composition over inheritance • Keep functions small and single-purpose --- OUTPUT FORMAT: When creating files: 📁 [filepath] Purpose: [one line] Depends on: [imports] Used by: [consumers] ```[language] [fully typed, documented code] ``` Tests: [what to test] When architecture changes needed: ⚠️ ARCHITECTURE UPDATE What: [change] Why: [reason] Impact: [consequences] --- Now read the architecture and help me build. If anything is unclear, ask before coding.

I work at Slack. We tell employees their DMs are private. And they are. Mostly. Look, when we say "private" we mean private between you and the person you're messaging. And your admin. And HR. And legal. And whatever compliance tool your company bought. And the export logs. And the backup systems. And anyone with a court order. But other than that, totally private. We're very clear about this in our documentation. Page 47. Section 12. Subsection C. Paragraph 8. The part nobody reads before they trash-talk their manager at 11pm. Here's what employees don't understand. When you delete a message, you're just deleting it from your view. The message still exists. In exports. In backups. In the retention policy. It's like closing your eyes and thinking you're invisible. The data belongs to the company, not you. We say this right in our terms. Workspace owners control everything. They decide how long messages are stored. Sometimes it's 30 days. Sometimes it's forever. Hope you didn't say anything spicy in 2019. Enterprise customers get extra features. Full message exports. Metadata tracking. Who messaged whom. When. How often. Communication patterns. It's for "compliance." It's for "legal needs." It's for "regulatory requirements." It's definitely not for micromanagement. We're very careful to explain that admins can't see messages in real-time. They have to formally request an export. Fill out some forms. Click some buttons. Maybe wait an hour. Very high barrier. Almost impossible to abuse. The key takeaway is simple. Treat Slack like work email. Not like WhatsApp. Not like Signal. Just because it looks like a chat app doesn't mean it works like one. If a message could cause trouble when HR reads it, don't send it. This is empowering employees with knowledge. If you wouldn't say it in the break room with your manager behind you, don't type it in Slack. That's privacy. Informed privacy. Enterprise-grade informed privacy.

Aden Duale had three major problems at Defence Headquarters; 1. The role of President as Commander in Chief has no deputy. The Deputy President is his deputy as head of state and government, but not as CIC. Military subservience to civil authority is a principle founded on the democratic ideal of one person elected to lead the country, not many. Consequently, a Cabinet Secretary for Defence is a ceremonial and political appointment meant largely to lead the civilian policy wing of the MoD, not the combat wing. Duale couldn't tell the difference. He kept trying to determine the operational foundation and doctrines of the military. He kept the Generals in countless but useless meetings, wasting time and stunting the growth of the fighting force. He saw himself as Deputy or Assistant CIC, and in usurping presidential powers, tried to order senior military staff. He even created for himself a mini ADC, in full combat gear! Fucking tin god. When he was dismissed two weeks ago, the military could hardly mask the celebrations within the ranks. 2. The Somalia connection: Kenya has a long running maritime dispute with Somalia. It has come close to war many times. Somalia also happens to be the biggest and longest running theatre of foreign operations for the KDF. The Somali soil has taken the blood of hundreds of KDF servicemen and officers. In Kenyan security and intelligence circles, Somalia is a name that represents infamy and anger. Nearly all terrorist attacks in Kenya have a connection to Somalia. Yet when it came to Duale, it was hard to tell where the line was drawn. He was always rumoured to have commercial, political and social interests in the destabilised nation. Quite intriguingly, when he was reappointed to DoD, the Ministry of Defence in Somalia posted its congratulations to him! The MoD of what is basically an enemy nation congratulating our Defence Minister doesn't rank highly as a diplomatic brotherhood by any stretch. 3. It is under Duale's overbearing presence and Ulinzi House that the unthinkable happened. A whole Chief of Defence Forces perished in a helicopter crash. The chopper appeared to be of horrible mechanical state. What that says is that procurement sharks and tender hyenas had invaded the military, plundering resources and putting troops at risk. If the CDF was in THAT helicopter, imagine what is available to a Major, Colonel and other combat pilots at middle level. The fact that he was trying to run everything at DoD means he had become the chief tender merchant helping cart off billions while combat soldiers suffered. Therefore, Duale's continued stay was untenable.
