It's been about four years but I finally got back into my trusty old Twitter, ahem, X account. Let's see where this goes!
Um hey @turo, one of your car owners knowingly gave my parents a car with bad brakes and shocks... Now they are stuck without a car. Is there no way to remedy this?

The week of my wedding I’m doing six cases. No, I wasn’t forced to do that and my vacation is not limited in any way. I just like operating. Can we normalize women making their own choices about when to take off for major life events?
Teachers! This course is free for students under 19. Educational, empowering, real-world skills for HS students. I got certified from @NOLSedu after being haunted by an accident that happened in front of me when I didn’t know what to do. Don’t wait. redcross.org/take-a-class/fi…
Reading Stop Doing That Sh*t: End Self-Sabotage and Demand Your Life Back by @GaryJohnBishop. Getting to the truth of the deep narratives we tell ourselves is intense but relieving. Mine so far: I don’t matter, people only care about themselves. Anyone else? Feel free to DM.
I first tasted this bitter flavor of inner excavation about 10 years ago, at a #yoga workshop with Sue Neufeld. She helped me uncover the vikalpa (resistance, self-limiting belief), “I want to fall apart to show you what you did to me,” mostly directed at the men who raped me.

No, those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything, but they’ll often make life difficult by trying to change everyone and everything around them instead of themselves.

If you are a woman who has ever had to pump 🍼 at a conference, send me your $CashTag and I will send you a treat.
I don’t care if it was 5 years ago.
You’re a hero who has never been properly recognized for your sacrifice, and I would like to buy you a cookie.
Feels like the tides of my life are turning and I have only slept eight hours in two days. Grateful for yoga nidra and awareness.
Enjoyed this list! I eliminate these word combinations in most editing jobs.

Mom knows my speed, she sent ⬇️ this morning. Happy Friday! theweek.com/supreme-court/10… Grateful for my former colleagues at @NYCCFB, doing the hard but good work to track the money.
Feeling way triggered by all the talk about Bill Cosby. I know it’s not, but sometimes it all feels futile.
White friends talking abt racism, let’s notice how many times we divert/steer the conversation back to white people.
Eg. you were poor too, woke culture went too far, white men are under attack, one time a Black person was mean to you, should #ChrisHarrison get his job back…
I love seeing people of all ages, all/any/no gender identity, and a wide range of beautiful bodies in advertising and on websites. I am way more likely to respect and support brands that do this. It’s not enough but #RepresentationMatters.
A guy at Walmart offered to help me reach something, told me his plan to freeze the meat in his cart, in detail, then advised me to stay home on July 4th because we haven’t had a terrorist attack since Old Orange Hair and they might be looking to test Biden. Happy Wednesday!

This centers the whole activity on white people and, trust me, white liberals do not need to spend more time patting themselves on the back about being good anti-racists. Why not read Ta-Nehisi Coates or other narratives from Black people to better reflect on their own privilege?

This kind of activity seems to be designed to mitigate how much POC have to deal w/ white feelings. That's a good goal, but it also seems to have ended up as white people reading a book by a white woman (that has been criticized by Black experts) & talking about white feelings
