Let’s make 2026 the year of the letter. Feel inspired, send a letter. Feel grateful, send a letter. Feel hope, send a letter. Feel lost or numb, send a letter. Be it to a friend, loved one, actor, author, MP, business leader, whoever you want. Just know, letters still matter. ✉️

Purely out of interest, how are the rest of you spending your Monday evening… (Might be a late one up the #LetterWritingShed) #THLAS9 😄🍻📦🎶🎉
Thank you so much for making our #THLAS9 celebrations so lovely! I wish you all friends as kind and generous and creative as those in The Handwritten Letter Appreciation Society. So grateful, you special people. (Pat et al are hoping for cake and fizzy later) #DeskGallery 🥳💌🎉
Had a bit of a blank for our 9th birthday cake design until youngest came up with an idea yesterday… (real wax-seal for scale) #THLAS9 😄💌🍰🎉

The written word is always there to read again and again.
My family letters by their own hand are precious. They took time to write ✍️ to me over the years.
They are no longer here but I can read their letters any time I wish.

Happy Birthday to THLAS and all who join in. It's raining here in South London so that's a cue to select a decent pen, some creamy paper and refill the coffee maker.

Happy 9th Anniversary to @letterappsoc!
Proud to be a member. Despite stamp price rises, nothing beats sending a handwritten card to loved friends.
With Christmas just over 8 weeks away & a busy schedule, I’ll start writing & posting my festive cards in the next 5–6 weeks! 💌🎄

🎂A very Happy Birthday to the Handwritten Letter Appreciation Society. 9 years young yet so much achieved✉️✒️💌😊
The Handwritten Letter Appreciation Society is 9 years old today! Thanks everso to members, followers, supporters and letter writers everywhere for helping to inspire all those years of encouraging the world to keep writing letters. What would be a good way to celebrate? 🥳✉️🍰🎉
It’s our 9th birthday on Monday 26th October. We haven’t made any big plans to celebrate this year, but if you’re near a sandy beach this half-term do write our name in the sand. Sending a letter or postcard to a loved one would be a lovely way to help us celebrate too. 🥳🏖️✉️🎉
