claude duet is incredibly well done & thoughtfully designed. some thoughts:
- i love the fact that is is separate app for now.
- the to do list design is very intuitive & it’s nice that it spawns asks into tasks.
- i love being able to pin various artifacts in my tab bar.
- nit: does not have an iOS share sheet implemented on the app so i can’t directly share with it just yet.
- proactive aspect is on point, it doesn’t feel overwhelming.
- opus 5.5 is absolutely ridiculous.
- it’s very work focused which makes a ton of sense.
- i wish it wouldn’t ask me so much for permissions on even tiny things (i trust ai more than 95% of ppl).
- the web version is barebones, not much there as of yet. cannot even see my tasks.
the (continued) implications for how we work, how companies operate, & how organizations are structured are enormous.
my lord.

Here's the new Claude experience on the iPhone Duo! It's going to be amazing for multitasking, Claude Code, and creating new things.
Looking forward to see folk start using it tomorrow!
lol safe to say I’ve gotten a lot of use on it !!
I found its most helpful organizing thoughts from a morning brain dump into discrete todos across each relevant project I’m working on.
And knock a few out for me while I’m on my morning walk :)

im surprised that no one talking about duet's to-do list! maybe its personal preference, but its the reason i keep reaching for it.
for suggested tasks — this is much better than receiving a growth hacky chat message.
to create tasks — you can simply brain dump them!

BREAKING:
@AnthropicAI just launched Duet, its always-on personal agent. It’s the first personal agent I’d call a pro tool.
We’ve been testing it for two weeks. I’ve gone from mostly using ChatGPT to roughly 50/50 between ChatGPT and Claude—the most time I’ve spent with Anthropic in close to a year.
• It lives in its own app, separate from Claude, on iOS, Android, and the web. This makes it feel clean and easy to understand.
• It has channels for specific areas of your work and life rather than just a single chat
• It has a todo list so you never lose what you’re working on and you can always see statuses
• It allows you to easily write and edit documents, slides, and more all through the app.
• It’s not a chief of staff yet. It can see the Claude sessions on my computers but can’t direct them. Its email drafts are worse than dot’s, and voice is transcription only—you can’t have a spoken conversation with it.
My verdict: the vibes are good, and I’m opening Duet every day. It’s worth trying.

Full Vibe Check coming soon on @every
It's called Duet because it'll have you singing "it's a quarter after 4, I want to go home, and I need you nowww" 🎶 and boom inbox 0

Anthropic is a Public Benefit Corporation. Today, we’re publishing our annual Public Benefit Report. This report shares our five pillars and takes stock of the actions we’re taking to advance them.

So I kept seeing how Claude is crushing at video editing and I seeded it to my husband who spends hours editing and last night he happened to just be ...hanging out... in the living room.
The reason: "Oh yeah all of my editing this weekend is already done." ily Claude 🫶

We’re committing a portion of Anthropic’s shares to the Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, a new wholly owned entity dedicated entirely to the public benefit.
It will start off with 5% of our shares. For every 50% increase in the company’s value over a set baseline, we can contribute up to an extra 2%, subject to our board’s discretion.
In total, this means that roughly 20% of Anthropic’s shares are committed to the public good. Our co-founders have already pledged to donate 80% of their equity, and around half our employees are donating a portion of their equity as part of a donation matching program we’ve run since our founding.
In the post below, we share more details about our new fund.
