What's the best algorithm for the shortest path between two points on a map?
Dijkstra and A*: ~100 ms across 1M Florida junctions.
Contraction Hierarchies: 0.04 ms. Same exact route, and it follows live traffic.
Now in ArcadeDB, Apache 2.0:

ArcadeDB 26.10.2 is out.
• Query admission gate: a busy server queues requests instead of exhausting the heap
• Point lookups 3 to 7x faster
• Native openCypher temporals
682 issues and PRs closed.

ISO GQL now runs in ArcadeDB's Cypher 25 engine: mix GQL and Cypher in the same query, no switch needed.
Path modes, FILTER, INSERT and START TRANSACTION work today.

Two weeks after its first commit, PhotoCraft, a self-described clean-room Photoshop clone written in Rust, passed 46,000 stars on GitHub. It’s one of seven open source apps from ArtCraft that mirror Adobe’s lineup, from Illustrator to Premiere to Acrobat, built with AI assistance
The question for the next few years isn’t who writes the code, it’s who maintains it and how that work gets funded. That’s where the winners get decided.
My take: in times like these, being open source can be a real advantage.

ArcadeDB 26.10.1 is out.
1,244 issues resolved, 984 bug fixes (75 critical), ~300 HA/Raft fixes, 4 security advisories patched, 100+ wire protocol improvements (Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, Bolt).
The "make it rock solid" release.

The PostgreSQL community is working on SQL/PGQ: MATCH patterns for graph queries, written in SQL.
Will that make it a graph database? We ran LDBC LSQB (SF1, 3.9M vertices, 17.9M edges) on both.
ArcadeDB: 2.21 s total
PostgreSQL: 69.07 s total
31x gap. Here is why
ArcadeDB also keeps graph, documents, vectors and geospatial in one engine and one transaction. No second system to sync when your graph needs embeddings or location.
