πππππππ | RED BALLOONS: A FATHER, A SON, A MEMOIR by @liampw
An affecting, yet ultimately hopeful journey through grief and the search for answers. More than anything, it's a family footballing love story.

So in the end it didnβt matter what time the roll call was, because in the DR I couldnβt hear it anyway.
Same issue I wrote about in Red Balloons as it caused personal grief, & years on, like all else at #stfc, nothing has improved.
This is a club sleepwalking to the edge 1/2
Those trying to hold #stfc to account (@so69fangroup, @LoathedStranger @T_STBL @IvoGraham @bcks109 @DanWood_Adver etc) are too few.
Those tasked with holding it to account @TrustSTFC are too lame.
Apathy or urgency? Itβs up to us 2/2
Congratulations @swindonred - awesome achievement on a hot day with London at its crazy, beautiful best. I loved tracking you through your journey.
3:30:31 PB for me with very sore legs and a lifetime of memories #stfc
Well I did it. I shuffled round the old @LondonMarathon course.
Many people said βwell done grandadβ donβt know what they mean π.
A mad, crazy, bonkers experience with thousands of great people lining the streets. Thanks to them and all whoβve sponsored me for @PhoenixSwindon
This is what 21 miles sounds like π¬ π€
βHope youβre enjoying your chocolateβ π

St Andrews was a dump. Iβd seen #stfc play there in a crowd of 4,026. St Pauliβs Millerntor was loved, but primitive. Nobody here had heard of them.

And finally - where were those giant clubs in 1994 - the year the DR was completed and time stood still at Swindon Town?

Back to Germany. Yes, St Pauli are a genuinely unique club and now a global brand. At the core is hugely personal connection and belonging. With care and intent, they can be nurtured anywhere. A recording studio in the new Town End? Letβs crack on ... 7/10 youtube.com/watch?v=zfrhVERsβ¦

Or for balance then, how about West Didsbury & Chorlton in the North West Counties League?

New: Words & Images: @Mike_Bayly
Chorlton-cum-Hardy in Manchester is an unlikely place for a football revolution.
The relatively affluent suburb is home to West Didsbury & Chorlton FC. But, this good natured, inclusive club is building its own scene.

So now, maybe I'd be a yes to an enabling development on the DR green.
It could be part of a wider urban renewal partnership in the immediate area. The CG would be the heart of a new community.

What I really like about this article is that it made me reconsider what options for the NECG footprint could be like. Forget the investment scale of this, but imagine how points 1-10 could be relevant and transformational for #stfc ... 3/10 resonanceco.com/news/how-to-β¦

Weβll start with Dusseldorf, since their ground featured in #stfcβs redevelopment brochure. Faced with a failing business model they offer 5 free games a season.
They've doubled commercial income and tripled merchandising.
