Labour & the Conservatives’ hidden tax rises are hitting 6.7 million more people. The Conservatives’ stealth tax, that Labour has decided to continue, will pull millions of ordinary workers into paying income tax for the first time. People don’t need a massive stealth tax penalty just as energy bills rise and inflation soars.

We have to rebuild trust with Europe. That trust was broken by the Conservatives. The Liberal Democrats have always said Britain's best future lies back at the heart of Europe.

We need an immigration system that supports our economy, public services and integration - but the Home Secretary’s reforms will undermine that. Meanwhile, the Tories are determined to give us Brexit 2.0 by tearing us out of the ECHR, which will undermine their own Brexit deal.

Along with my @LibDems colleagues, I’ve written to the Health Secretary about our concerns that the 10-Year Health Plan will penalise rural and coastal communities. Recognising rural communities’ circumstances isn’t special treatment. It’s just fairness.

Trump’s mad war in Iran is fuelling the cost of living crisis. Last week’s budget failed to deliver a plan for growth. The Liberal Democrats will keep pushing for closer ties with Europe, including joining the single market and customs union, to boost our economy immediately.

Liberal Democrats leader Sir Ed Davey says "we should have that debate" over the UK apologising for its role in the historic slave trade, but adds that he doesn't think "reparations is the right approach."

"I think we could benefit from a much closer trade and defence relationship with Europe." Ed Davey says the UK should rejoin the EU's single market and customs union, which would lead to "free movement of labour".

After two storms in two days, farmers say on-farm water storage could tackle both flooding and drought. When will the Government deliver its promised £15m fund and expand permitted development rights?

🚨 WATCH: Nigel Farage says he didn't attend the Budget in Parliament to "avoid a physical altercation" "Given my prayer card [to reserve a seat] was removed, I was heading towards another physical altercation... being a quiet, shy and modest person, I decided against it"

Shocked and bloody angry I think... it takes more than that to shake me. I may be a woman, but I'm not the snowflake here.
Exclusive: Nigel Farage's "physical altercation" during the State Opening of Parliament was with the Lib Dem MP Caroline Voaden - and has caused an major row between Reform and the Lib Dems. Lib Dem sources say Voaden was left "shocked and shaken" after he "shoved" her to secure a place in the procession of MPs to the King's Speech. Video from the Commons Chamber that day shows Farage and Voaden making their way down from their benches together. Voaden reported the incident to the Serjeant at Arms and says Farage was asked to apologise - but hasn't. A Reform spokesman denies any wrongdoing by Farage, saying "it was the Lib Dem MPs being aggressive towards Nigel". Lib Dems say that is "utter nonsense" Farage said yesterday that the "physical altercation" was the reason he didn't put up a fight to be in the Chamber for the Budget after his prayer card to save a space was removed. He said he thought that after the row with Voaden, it was "better to avoid conflict". But in a further twist, a Commons spokesman says Farage's card was only removed because it didn't have a date stamp, which are required to reserve a spot.
