This is stupid. It's just people seeking attention. Mike Collins didn't do anything to disqualify himself from getting a Republican's vote *for Senate against a Democrat.* Neither did Paxton. Nor Vivek Ramaswamy for Governor. Meanwhile Abdul El-Sayed, Troy Jackson, Mary Peltola, and some other Dems should be instantly disqualified in the minds of Democrats but they all uniformly support them. Even the Bulwark losers do.

The problem isn’t this general, who the press loves because he allegedly leaked to them, leaking classified information. The problem is you learning about it. Again, this is the regime media – mad that it can’t protect its sources by hiding them from you.
New at @CBSNews - Separate from the classified leaking allegations against Lt. Gen. Brett Sylvia, some attorneys told CBS News that a statement shared to media outlets which disclosed Sylvia's alleged failure of polygraph examinations potentially runs afoul of the Privacy Act. cbsnews.com/news/pentagon-di…

Counterpoint: You can never ever do anything that will let a communist win because the communist will murder you and throw you in a ditch with your pretty little principles.
To those who say, “If you are not supporting the Republican, you are supporting the Democrat,” let me respond.  I hear you. I understand your point of view.  However, let me offer a different way of looking at it after five decades of working to elect Republicans. You don’t drink something that tastes good today if it is poisonous over the long run.  You don’t burn out a pitcher to win today's game if it destroys his arm and costs the team the World Series and many seasons. Sometimes, the worst thing you can do is win the next inch when it costs you the next mile. If there is nothing a Republican can do to disqualify himself from getting your vote, aren’t you saying Republicans are free to commit the worst possible offenses and be the worst possible people? And be the worst possible party? That’s not OK with me. I think we have to be better than that.  Otherwise, we hollow out what it means to be a Republican. That’s why I stand with @EWErickson “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Mark 8:36

Indeed it is, Norm. You should tell that to your Alaskan friends
Under 18 USC 241, election fraud is punishable by fine or imprisonment for 10 years—or both.

Now @EWErickson cites BARACK OBAMA and his *unity* nonsense, and says the GOP base is to blame for that hypocritical messaging? Obama is the MOST divisive and ALWAYS pretends to be above it, but Erickson says the GOP is now the cause? Good Lord, has he jumped the shark.
As many on the right become jackasses online and off, Obama etc are out suddenly saying, "We shouldn't have to care about our neighbors' politics" and "everyone just wants to be friends." The social media rot now infecting parts of the right is shifting leftwing rhetoric.

If we listened to people like you, Erick, the democrats would have been in control of the White House for about 5 straight terms, there’d be a majority leftist Supreme Court, and we’d be getting arrested or put on lists for not getting the COVID vax. Your advice is meaningless.

But really though I mean who among us doesn’t inadvertently file taxes jointly with someone we never legally married — but who happens to be the parent of our kids — while being legally married to someone else bearing the same family name, in a ceremony presided over by a minister of an entirely different faith, while having resided at the same residence as both people simultaneously before the legal husband fled the country after the feds questioned whether it was a sham marriage. Your quintessential American immigrant story. If you read American Ingrate, you knew the truth about Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, a/k/a Ilhan Omar, and the twisted web she weaved years before the NYT got around to covering the story. amazon.com/American-Ingrate-…

When the de facto leader of the lawfare movement openly admits that a massive, coordinated scheme to deceive voters and manipulate an election is just “politics, not criminality,” you know they are dead to rights. These are the same people who have spent years weaponizing the criminal justice system against their political opponents. Now they expect everyone to shrug off a meticulously organized operation to deceive the electorate. Absolutely not. This is the moment to go after the entire operation with everything the law allows. Every participant, every lawyer, every operative, every person who financed or coordinated this scheme must face full scrutiny and accountability. No more sweeping it under the rug. There can be absolutely no justification for letting them get away with it.
A 2nd Dan Sullivan on Alaska's ballot is politics not criminality, & Alaska's Supreme Court already said he could stay on Last week Trump's DOJ sued to stop AK from certifying the result, & now it's making a fed case 5 days before the election -TN apnews.com/article/alaska-pe…

It seems to me that the explanation’s pretty clear. Have you not been paying attention? Or are you just pretending not to understand why he was fired because you want to make it seem like it was random instead of because he allegedly leaked information to the press?
“Army Lt. Gen. Brett Sylvia was fired without explanation. His removal coincides with the defense secretary’s broader purge of top military officers.” “The Pentagon’s case against Lt. Gen. Brett Sylvia has stunned his colleagues, some of whom have questioned the narrative being promoted by the defense secretary’s team.” @washingtonpost @DanLamothe washingtonpost.com/national-…

I’m not surprised that @AmyMcGrathKY didn’t tell you that he failed three polygraph tests and allegedly confessed to giving classified information to reporters. I’ll say that again. He allegedly confessed to giving classified information to reporters. I’m not sure which possible explanation for her excluding that is worse – that she’s stupid and didn’t understand that was bad, or that she intentionally attempted to deceive the people who read her tweets because she thinks they are stupid and that she too can be dishonest. In the end, it doesn’t really matter which it is, does it?
We don’t know why Hegseth fired another top general. But maybe he was telling uncomfortable truths about Iran and Ukraine. Or maybe he simply believed the American people have a right to know what’s going on. After all, when was the last time the Pentagon held a press briefing?

There was a huge New York Times (!) story about outright voter fraud in Alaska, but you know what the big issue is? Republicans.
The reality is that Google and Apple have been protecting us from the predatory grift of Republican consultants. The data now definitively shows that the Republican politicians who let this happen for their benefit have actually allowed the consultant class to kill the goose that laid the golden egg.

My biggest concern is that if there is a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028, they will: 1. Make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate. 2. Open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority. 3. Increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority. This would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word. All that is needed to ensure this doesn’t happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That is why you should vote for Republican senators this election. Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one.

I used to think this way when I was 18 years old. Now, I'm a 43-year-old man with a family and a country to save from utter destruction. Don't get me wrong... There is a time for rooting out the Rightwing Socialists, Groypers, and postliberals who are snaking their way into conservative circles, but... IT'S NOT DURING MIDTERMS WHEN THERE ARE ONLY TWO CHOICES AVAILABLE TO US, NO MATTER HOW LOUDLY YOU STAMP YOUR FOOT AND CROSS YOUR ARMS. GROW UP, DUDE.
If you want me to vote for a Republican candidate, put up one who hasn't surrounded himself with antisemites, racists, white nationalists, guys charged with animal cruelty and assault, and that was just one Republican candidate who had all those sorts around him and kept them.

I’m unclear how refusing to ever under any circumstances do anything that results in communists getting power over me equates to being a whore. I think it equates to being a man. Oh, and I’m not sure how Christian it is to accuse opponents of a litany of lies.
Political whores always think principled stands, even against white nationalism, racism, antisemitism, Holocaust denial, and their enablers is whoring out to the other side. @TimMurtaugh will keep getting paid to advance whoever pays him and champion a tribe, no matter its excesses. In 2016, I opposed Trump. My daughter was given a guide to commit suicide by her classmates. My son was beaten up on the playground. My wife told her Bible Study she had stage 4 lung cancer and a woman told her she'd pray, but wanted to beat me up. We had 3 men show up at our home to threaten us. My family had to have security. I wasn't doing it for praise then. I'm not doing it for praise now. I'm doing it because the right, like the left, has festering racism and antisemitism rising; Mike Collins has surrounded himself with white nationalists, Holocaust deniers, antisemites, and men who abuse both dogs and women. He has defended them, sheltered them, and employed them repeatedly. And I will not vote to send them to Congress anymore than I'd vote to send communists to Congress. But Tim will support the guy with the "R" next to his name because Tim is a political whore who will attack conviction as an exercise in praise all while continuing to support awful candidates who keep making the country worse.

You climb on a cross, virtue signal, and seek praise while screaming "whore" at those of us supporting the lesser of two evils while everything you do boosts the greater of two evils.

Your “conviction” helps empower leftists to plow through every safeguard in our government designed to defend the rights of individuals in this country. It isn’t possible to express enough contempt for someone who would do that, especially since you simultaneously congratulate yourself for your own virtue. You can condescend all you want, but you are willfully helping to turn this country over to people who YOU KNOW intend to destroy it. Contemptible.

Obviously @EWErickson thinks people will throw him a parade for his *stunning courage* in torching his own career and reputation among Republicans. The left will never accept him and there simply aren’t enough jobs at The Bulwark to support everyone who voluntarily exiles himself.

.@MaryPeltola "It should be a criminal offense to lie or mislead the electorate." Running a spoiler might not technically be illegal, but any false statements to federal or state investigators about recruiting "Decoy Dan" could mean serious trouble.
🚨 Bombshell reporting shows national Democrats colluded for months to lie to Alaska voters and Mary Peltola knew all about it. Her campaign was at the center of the scheme.
