Any home bakers out there have experiences of trying to make a cake based on a favourite character. Whether it was a triumph or failure I’m looking to talk to people about their baking inspiration for a piece I’m writing about Adaptation in the Kitchen. DM if interested. Thanks!
Just finished this wonderful historical fantasy trilogy by @freyamarske - particularly loved the last book. As a big fan of Edwardian fashions and textiles, this series was also an absolute feast for the eyes. #reading

Tell a British person that it was cold when you woke up, and they will tell you it was even colder when they were up even earlier than you.
“It was chilly waiting for my train at 6am”
“It was even colder on my run at 5am”
“Well it was absolutely freezing when I was walking the dogs around 4.30am”
“Okay but it was baltic when I was feeding the chickens at 3.45am”
“You should have felt it at 2.50am when I was up sweeping the driveway”
I have been waiting literally 15 years for this book, and I'm beyond excited #AmNotYetReadingButSoon

There should be a dedicated word to describe the sorrow of when you go to have a sip of tea only to discover it’s all gone, you’ve drank it all and didn’t even realise.
What should that word be?

"I'm sorry, sir, I'm one of the librarians. To handle your question you'll need to talk to someone different."
"Who?"
