I'm so fucking tired of the performative need to denounce the little grace notes that drift into the lives of other people, to rate them unasked-for, to always be hopping up and down with a desperate anxiety to piss on someone else's passing happiness.

Rejoice, all the people who have tried to get me to write about suburban races: someone else has started a similar blog to do just that!

I successfully finished the student worker email and form that I didn't finish yesterday and the most exciting question is honestly which fabulous tshirt design they prefer (Llama Wizard or Adventure Tech). I am VERY excited for our tshirts this year.
For those who are interested, fabulous t-shirt designs by student manager Audrey Bentch (audacious.audrey on instagram!) (CC @ksailiata)

ALT Text reads "the tech you need for every adventure, Digital Resource Center, Macalester College". Three figures drawn as d&d style minis (human, elf, tiefling), each with different technologies (tripod, midi keyboard, and camera respectively)
Today's unmet goals: send email to new/returning student workers, finish a "what we do" handout.
These are now Tuesday's goals.
But I got to work on great projects with librarians & av folks, do some instruction for staff members, & meet with my fab new boss, so today was a win
My post-mod-5 summer student workers keep having meals together and going for ice cream at Nelson's together and slacking me super adorable group photos, my heart has grown at least three sizes.
Excited to be listening to #iliads21 lightning talks today--what a fantastic group of projects!

This is a really good thread about what to expect from the police if you call them to help solve a crime.

I de-stressed tonight by trying to beat a bestie's video game completion time for Dishonored 2.
I don't know how the pandemic made this into a de-stressing activity, but we're now approximately tied at 50m and change.
