πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬ Minister of State for Primary Education Phyllis Chemutai (Kapchorwa Woman MP) has told Parliament that UNEB considers a second sitting for candidates who miss national exams "neither practical nor sustainable," and that the UNEB Act does not provide for one. Kigulu County South MP Andrew Kiiza Kaluya, citing UNEB's 2025 reports, said 10,000 PLE, 2,000 UCE and 1,200 UACE candidates did not sit their exams, through illness, accidents, childbirth, domestic violence and natural disasters, despite "having registered, paid and prepared for the exams."
