The translation table in @localazy has been revamped completely, and it's already available for you to play around with. 😄

Directus syncs with Localazy now automatically, and the setup is much easier than you think. You can figure it out in your own or listen to my rambling below to see how to turn it on. 😄

The team turned my notes about why and how I built @localazy, back when I was the developer and the whole translation department of my own app. 🙂

@localazy is getting an In-Context Editor feature. The point of an in-context editor is context: edit where content lives.
This doesn't work for what you can't click. However, we list hidden strings (titles, placeholders, aria-labels) separately. 😄
(Launching in beta soon.)

@dave_vaclavek added a webhook setup from inside @strapijs, so the export flow with the Strapi plugin no longer needs a trip to @localazy. And incremental sync cut import time on large projects from 30–40 minutes to a few seconds. 🧑💻

We're introducing an in-context editor at Localazy: translate strings directly on your website instead of switching to a separate tool. Stay tuned for it. It will be soon available inside the product for beta testing. 🙂

This was the @localazy interface in its early days.
We built the website and the product ourselves from scratch and that delayed launch by months.
But it was definitely worth it, looking at how the product evolved from there. 🙂

A customer at a recent conference asked us about Style Guide. He'd been on @localazy for around three years already.
The feature had been live for months.
Turns out the customers we serve best barely need to open the platform anymore.

Yes, AI can translate a sentence beautifully.
That's been true long enough that pretending otherwise makes the rest of the argument look weak. What AI still can't do on its own is remember the terminology decision from three quarters ago, hold the brand voice consistent across a hundred screens, respect the placeholders, or write for the audience the software is actually shipping to.
That layer, the one underneath every translation, is what a year of Localazy's engineering has been rebuilding and shipping and you can read more about how it all went below. 🙂

We've wrapped another wonderful year at @Localazy while keeping our gaze on the same goal: giving your the tools to ship multilingual products with confidence.
Honestly, we were a bit late to the AI craze but it was all intentional. Instead of quickly plugging an API and call it our superior AI feature, we decided to drop off that race and focus on meaningful feature development. Our customers care about translation quality, and you can't talk about translation quality without addressing what makes AI output good: context quality.
So, we built a feature to let you provide more context (Style Guides), and then launched Localazy AI, to produce noticeably better translations.
Of course, it doesn't end here. We still have lots of work to do to make translation quality as controllable as possible.
Everything above and more (plus some personal highlights 🤵♂️) can be found detailed in the yearly recap below.
I'm grateful to work with such an incredible team, and we're excited to bring you a better version of Localazy in 2026.

Becoming a developer is the best career choice I’ve made.
However, there comes a point when you want to stop developing products for clients and start building your own thing.
I felt this eight years ago and went fully into building Localazy.
