Today, I have the solemn responsibility to be the first president to formally apologize to Native peoples – Native American, Native Hawaiian, and Native Alaskan – for what happened during the Indian Boarding School era.
It's long overdue.

President Biden: "I'm heading to do something that should have been done a long time ago; to make a formal apology to the Indian Nations for the way we treated their children for so many years. That's why I'm heading west."

This is a wild story.
Michelle Steel is benefiting from nearly $3 million in ads from a crypto super PAC.
She's criticizing her opponent for... owning crypto.
But only in Vietnamese-language mailers.

No food has entered northern Gaza since the start of October, putting 1 million people at risk of going hungry, the World Food Programme says cnn.it/4eGUqww

I'm just seeing this. Major, major fact check needed.
Congress funded the Shelter and Services Program through US Customs and Border Protection, then ordered CBP to transfer the funding to FEMA to administer the program. It is NOT in the same funding stream as disaster relief.

ALT Provided further, That $650,000,000 shall be transferred to ‘‘Federal Emergency Management Agency—Federal Assistance’’ to support sheltering and related activities provided by non-Federal entities, in support of relieving overcrowding in short-term holding facilities of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, of which not to exceed $9,100,000 shall be for the administrative costs of the Federal Emergency Management 23 Agency:

This is simply false. Not only are natural disasters addressed in a separate emergency fund, but catastrophic hurricane aid always comes from Congress passing emergency aid bills as large as $80 billion. The $640M spent on migrants is unrelated budget dust. They aren't related.
Feds say there’s no money left to respond to hurricanes — after FEMA used $640.9M this year on migrants trib.al/kcpHhf9

Please take a read of this; my friend @mattsheffield is one of the most important, knowledgeable voices of the incestuous relationships between right-wing orgs., the GOP and its complicit media.

I don't know why this one made me angrier than usual, but we've known since at least 2008 that Wells Fargo's business model is a giant crime spree and I want to know why these people still aren't in jail.

Anyone serious about our military and national security needs to back Elizabeth Warren in her attempt to allow the Pentagon to repair its own equipment instead of being gouged by contractors. usnews.com/news/world/articl…

I was a witness for Alabama's execution of Alan Miller by nitrogen gas tonight. Again, it did not go as state officials promised. Miller visibly struggled for roughly two minutes, shaking and pulling at his restraints. He then spent the next 5-6 min intermittently gasping for air

@AlonPinkas says it best: “They have no reason to believe anything he ever says. Yet they go back to the same crooked dealer, in the same decrepit lot and buy the same car without and engine and then act amazed and shocked they were lied to, again”

💥Kirby: “I can't speak for PM Netanyahu. I can't answer the question why he said what he said, and I certainly can't begin to speculate about what considerations went into that statement, whether they were political or operational or otherwise. Those are questions that he needs to be asked and should be given the opportunity to answer. What I can tell you is that statement we worked on last night wasn't just drawn up in a vacuum. It was done after careful consultation, not only with the countries that signed on to it, but Israel itself, and we had every reason to believe that in the drafting of it and in the delivery of it, that that the Israelis were fully informed and fully aware of every word in it. And we wouldn't have done it…if we didn't believe that it would be received with the seriousness with which it was composed.

Maggie Haberman tells NPR that there is an "industry" dedicated to "attacking the media" from the left for its Trump coverage, which is "undermining faith" in journalism.
There is no such industry. Just a bunch of people who want better journalism.
