I hear @FabrizioRomano is readying the tweet to announce James Clarke signing a bumper contract @derrycityfc
Just looking there and wondering how much longer does Oran Kearney get before his starts coming under scrutiny? 5 wins in 29 games. Has a huge budget in comparison to the other PT clubs. Surely he’s seriously underachieving?? Must have a few media boys in his pocket deflecting?
This papered over all the cracks & led the management team to believe there were the 2nd best team in the country. I’m firmly of the belief that the team finished 2nd last season in spite of Lynch & not as a result of his ‘coaching’. clear he was out of his depth for a long time
Instead of building on it, he ripped up the team with huge player turnover, with lots of very costly failures. Out of the 27 winnings games, how many were moments of magic by Duffy, who had a wonder season last season.
Higgins took over when the club were bottom of the table. Had no training base, a poor pitch and took them to 2 cup finals and within touching distance of the league.
Lynch inherited a squad competing for trophies and has had the biggest budget in the club’s history.
"He thought it needed open-heart surgery, it definitely didn't"
"Until they get an architect in, we are going to see this up and down...in place..."
Derry City legend Gareth McGlynn spoke on yesterday's LOI Pod about the club's decision to part ways with manager Tiernan Lynch following an underwhelming spell over the past 18 months.
