It is with deep and profound sadness that West Ham United confirm the tragic passing of our U15s Academy goalkeeper Oscar Fairs, following his brave battle with cancer.
Rest in peace, brave Oscar.

I really don’t like the phrase ‘making memories’. Just live your life and the kid will remember what they remember. I remember my grandma accidentally making the ketchup explode but I remember almost nothing about family holidays at that age. It doesn’t have to be ‘special’.
Barcelona tomorrow. Just been to San Sebastián and have a v long train journey tomorrow. Luckily found a bookshop with English Lang novels or I’d be stuck! Going to different places on a longer holiday is good as a solo traveller. I’ve enjoyed it.
The @MuseoGuggenheim is amazing. I was there for hours! Was so excited that by chance there was an exhibition of Yoshitomo Nara’s work: have loved his work since early 2000s but never seen it in real life, until today! Some bonus photos here too.
On a train between Porto and Vigo so I’ve been following the opening ceremony via The Guardian and some commentary here. I have also been following my friend as a little dot on the Lakeland 100 tracker. The things you do to pass time.

Did my leaving speech at school today- I was so nervous as I hate this kind of thing where everyone is watching you and you have to be funny. Anyway, I think it went alright! It all feels real now. I’m leaving 😬😰
Prom last night. Pupils were really sweet and very well behaved. Last prom at current school and it was lovely!

Can we once and for all dispense with this tedious "But he always took the bins out and said hello" commentary, as if there was a contradiction here that needed explaining.
Violent men ARE "nice guys".
They're nice to everyone but the women they abuse. That's the whole point.
It’s come to that time in the school year where you are wearing shoes that have nearly worn out and tights with hole in the toe because there is no point buying new. 7 days left!
