KING MZILIKAZI DAY CELEBRATIONS | 4–5 SEPTEMBER 2026
As we gather to honour and celebrate King Mzilikazi, we celebrate more than history — we celebrate a legacy, a culture, and a spirit that continues to unite generations.
Highlanders Football Club was born from the vision and passion of the great grandsons of King Mzilikazi, Albert and Rhodes Khumalo, who laid the foundation of a movement that has grown into a symbol of pride, identity, and belonging.
This year, as we proudly mark 100 years of Highlanders FC, we pay tribute to the roots that shaped us and the great legacy passed down through generations. The spirit of King Mzilikazi lives on through our people, our culture, and our beloved Bosso family.
Join us on 4th and 5th September 2026 as we celebrate King Mzilikazi Day — a celebration of heritage, unity, music, culture, and the unforgettable journey of a nation and its people.

Something culturally significant happened today. Zulu King, Misizulu met with King Bulelani of the Matebele nation of King Mzilikazi. 200 years after King Shaka & Mzilikazi parted ways in war, the 2 nations have founded each other again. Africa mayibuye! @RealMzalaTom @MimiReeds
