Planned a PRINCESS CRUISE with my girlfriend and 14 year old grandson to celebrate his school achievements (I didn’t buy trip insurance - my bad). 35 days before departure I was diagnosed with throat cancer and face a very difficult road to recovery (praying that it hasn’t metastasized). Sent diagnosis confirmation from 3 Oncologists. United Airlines, hotels and private residences were understanding and immediately refunded our money 🙏 with the exception of PRINCESS CRUISES. They offered a 50% discount for a future cruise that had to be used within a year. We tried appealing but they relied on the legalese of the contract citing cancers, heart conditions, etc were not a valid reason for a refund. Steer clear of PRINCESS CRUISES.
