A small research on the ‘Awoo’ that stirred everyone up on Nikki’s posters - is it bullying or hopium? We believe it’s neither. Our team was provided with information regarding the poster, so we decided to do a little deep dive to verify the data and share it with you. What we know so far: • Awoo King was already used last year as the name for a pack (outfit + Momo’s pose). • Nighttime Whisper is the name of the outfit, as seen in the video: xitter.gq/InfinityNikkiEN/status… • The phrases about the way home were already used before and remain unchanged this year. • In China, “Awoo” (嗷呜) is pronounced as áo wū - an imitation of a howl that is also associated with ghosts. During Halloween, 嗷呜 is often used as a cute voice/sound for ghosts, zombies, or vampires. Let’s take a closer look at the controversial details: 1. In a Xiaohongshu post dated October 26, 2025, the posters promote the outfit, and the text refers to its name (Nighttime Whisper, screenshot 1). Link: xhslink.com/o/9pB5b6N4LaN 2. In a Weibo post from October 26, 2025, two out of the three images also feature the outfit and are tagged as (Nighttime Whisper), while one shows the 18-yuan pack and is labeled with the pack’s name - Awoo King (screenshot 2). You can tell the difference by the circle on the right showing the pack contents: outfit + Momo’s pose. Link: weibo.com/7801655101/5225969… 3. On X last year, Nikki’s posters showed the Nighttime Whisper outfit without promoting the pack (xitter.gq/InfinityNikkiEN/status…). This year, they are promoting the pack and using its name - Awoo King - as the circle showing the pack contents reminds us once again (screenshot 3). 4. In the global version of the Nikki game itself, back in 2025, the pack was already named Awoo King. What’s more, it mentioned the phrase “mysterious figure suddenly appeared with bright... fangs?!” long before Valko was ever introduced to the world (screenshot 4). A quick extra points: the caption «In the land of no path, guided by the mountain spirit, the lost find their way home» was already used back in 2025 and remained unchanged in 2026 (screenshot 3). To sum it up: the name Awoo King has existed since last year and hasn’t changed. The only difference is that in 2025, the posters promoted the individual Nighttime Whisper outfit, while this year, in 2026, they are promoting the pack (outfit + Momo’s pose) under the name Awoo King. It would be unfair to accuse Infold of intentionally mocking Valko fans, as some might think. But it’s also overly optimistic to take “Awoo” as a hint at his return.
