So the plot of the John Lewis 2026 advert is as follows. Grandmother opens door to her obnoxious, rude and badly behaved grandchildren who proceed to trash her house. Motivated to distract them in some way she searches out a cherished Christmas wooden toy from the attic. But that fails to impress the little shits either. So she resorts to buy the entire Christmas stock of her local John Lewis store to bedeck a room in her London W1 townhouse with wonderment costing £ thousands. Only then do the spoilt little brats show any emotional engagement. What message does this put out, eh?

Tonda Eckert has said some of Saints' under-21s "need to be ready" for the door to open on a first-team opportunity.
No timescale on when exactly but he's constantly keeping tabs and Adam Lallana's side have started the new season excellently. #SaintsFC

Enjoying the Marr book. He seems very genuine and properly into his music. Onto “Hand in Glove”. This is why I didn’t like The Smiths; I’ve no idea what the lyrics are about and the vocal melody is practically one note. I’m trying….
This is incredible, but not in the way you’d think (the whole interview).
.@thomyorke tells @Harry_Styles that he was sick of ‘OK Computer’ by the time it came out.
“When we finished that record, we'd been already playing those songs too much. And like, then when the manager said to us, 'Now you're going to go on tour for 2 years,' I'm like, I literally begged them, 'I can't, I can't do it.'”

Comprehensive 5-1 win for #SaintsFC U21s against QPR tonight. Braces for Princewill Ehibhatiomhan and Sufianu Dibaga while Aston Daley scored the pick of the goals.

Agreed. I was at the game cos a friend’s Son plays for them and I checked their fixtures on the #SaintsFC webpage, but yeah, the club post nothing about the game, or the lead up.
It’s half time and still absolutely nothing from the @SouthamptonFC account about their U21s game tonight. Nothing to tell fans they can come watch the game for free. Nothing about the lineup or score. Very poor. They desperately need a separate academy account #SaintsFC #PLCup
