a sharpener that sharpens many pencils is a good sharpener, but a pencil that’s been in many sharpener is a small pencil

Isn’t it so dystopian that people in Gaza are struggling to find food shelter and even the basic necessities to survive while billionaires exist with more wealth than they could ever spend in several lifetimes? The contrast is genuinely sickening
Watched my dad pull out pins from my tayas hand at home with pliers and thats when i realised orthopaedic surgery really is human carpentry

"Aurat ki kamayi mein barkat nahi", "larki ki umer choti honi chahye", "kunwari honi chahye" comes from the society whose founding lady of the religion was herself a business woman and married greatest Prophet pbuh at the age of 40. We follow culture more than religion & it shows

You don't forgive.
You get revenge, with extreme prejudice.
Andreas Christopheros opened his front door and a stranger threw a beaker of sulphuric acid in his face. The acid was so strong his shirt dissolved off his body and it burned through the floor of his hallway. His wife burned her own feet trying to drag him to the shower. The man had driven 300 miles for revenge and knocked on the wrong door. Andreas lost an eye and his eyelids. He would later say he'd rather have been shot.
December 2014, a quiet street in Cornwall. Andreas was working from home, building a new business. A normal day before Christmas.
From his office window he noticed a red van. A few minutes later, someone knocked.
In the video below he tells it himself. He opened the door like anyone would. In one motion the man said "this is for you, mate" and the acid hit him. He didn't even have time to blink.
His wife ran downstairs and found him screaming.
Police later caught the attacker. He had gone to the wrong address. Andreas was never the target.
He went through endless skin grafts. He wore a pressure mask on his face every day.
His business folded. His son was 2.
He says he refuses to be defined by it.
How do you forgive someone who destroyed your face by mistake?

some might laugh but this is genuinely what misogyny and patriarchy is when you strip it all down. larping modesty while deciding someone’s entire life around their genitals like what are we doing

Being a medical student is so infantilizing, i have no control over anything in my life, no money, no autonomy whatsoever. Add on the fact that my friends outside medicine are in control of all aspects of their lives & we’re the same ages. When do i start feeling like an adult?

O curso de medicina é uma merda, pq ele te prende em uma faculdade integral que vc não pode trabalhar, aí precisa aguentar sua família por 6 anos de merda e precisa pedir dinheiro até pra ir na pracinha e voltar
