i jumped in my seat during S&S when herbert did the exact same eye twitch adam does. can no longer find but i still think & laugh about the tweet saying the american remake of THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD would star adam & dakota johnson

Ok folks what do we need to do to get adam driver and herbert nordrum to play brothers in some dark period piece. I’m thinking they should be fighting over a woman. I’m totally willing to take one for the team and play the leading lady

i was thinking today about how it’s odd no filmmaker has ever done a true non-animation adaptation of SWAN LAKE (BLACK SWAN doesn’t count). it’s really such a perfect tragic fantasy romance. image in my surprise finding that luca guadagnino & felicity jones were working on one

i’m kinda glad this appears to have stalled out. luca is not the director i think would be the best for this & i need someone younger than felicity for odette.

yeah i’m still trying to figure out the reason for all the narrative changes that were only to the men’s stories & all i came up with was they were trying to make the men look better by applying more modern norms/lens?? but i thought it made everyone look worse

i’m just shocked by how they manged create an adaptation that is far more male centered and lenient towards that entire sex than its source material written in the early 19th century

if you can handle wickham eloping with lydia in p&p, you can handle willoughby getting colonel brandon’s TEENAGE WARD pregnant & then abandoning her
