On Sep 2nd we had warned that the #RBNZ rate hiking cycle was done.
And here we go....

#NZD
Anna Breman super dovish stance is coming through. The RBNZ rate hiking cycle is done.
- Future Policy Decisions Will Depend On The Balance Of Risks To Medium-Term Inflation
- Future OCR Path Is Not Pre-Determined
- Medium-Term Inflation Indicators Are Consistent With Inflation Returning To Target
- Spare Capacity Remains In The Economy, Particularly In The Labour Market
But AT&T will get smoked by Starlink which will be blocked in India....
It's called Mota Bhai Premium 🤣
Jio listing: Quick thoughts -
World’s most valued telecom company belongs to India.?
At $130 BN, Jio is almost hitting AT&T market cap of $155 BN & Verizon mkt cap of $177 BN. In other words, imagine if Indian economy becomes EQUAL to American economy “tomorrow”. That’s the valuations at which we’re buying Airtel & Jio today. Imagine how far is that.
At 14% CAGR growth, Jio will take 20 years to catch up to AT&T revenue. Thats why international investors find valuations in India beyond sanity.
On ARPU - Indian ARPU is at of below Rs 220 for last 20 years. It was the same in 2006. How can you count on future growth?
Go ahead and enjoy the party. But if investors think they can make money on this in next 10 years- I don’t think so. If you overpay, you carry all the risk. My discussion on Business Today @business_today
Seeing Akash Ambani speak it's easy to imagine why the IPO valuation plummeted post the investor meetings. 🤮

Some back of the envelope calculations using a conservative 27% holding company discount applied to #Reliance
• Jio +10% = +2.5% for Reliance
• Jio +15% = +3.8% for Reliance
• Jio +20% = +5.1% for Reliance
Absolute fake news, the proposal according to @ZeeNews outlines the following.
- The proposal will limit certain categories to 50 lakhs like Business travel and pilgrimages
- The RBI has proposed exempting non-resident Indian (NRI) investors from long-term capital gains (LTCG) tax or reducing the tax rate
- Tax exemptions for Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWFs) and pension funds may be extended until 2047.
This Zee Business Report says
1) RBI has asked govt to completely end capital account outflows under automatic route (will need RBI permission henceforth)
2) Current account flows capped at 50 lakh
If true, it effectively ends US investing for Indians

EM funds were
- Massively overweight Brazil
- Massively underweight India
Indian EM allocation is the most underweight in history according to some data.
This could be a significant tailwind for Indian Large caps
