Back when I was a freelance illustrator, a client paid me in BTC for the first time. I spent a week working out where that money came from and who was carrying the cost.
@GenLayerβs new tokenomics answers that question for its court. GenLayer is a system where AI validators judge contracts and disputes, and GEN is the token that funds and secures it.
The paper says βvalidators stake GEN to get a vote on each case,β and βusers pay in GEN for the compute, AI inference and validation behind every verdict.β
Hereβs where GEN moves in one dispute:
* A user escrows GEN to get a contract judged. Unused slots are refunded.
* Only the top 1,543 validators by weight make up the active set, and each needs at least 42,000 GEN of its own stake to take a seat.
* Fees split 70% to stakers, 15% to validators running nodes, 10% to developers, and 5% to the DeepThought DAO, a planned AI governed DAO funded only from fees.
* For ordinary model error, a validator on the losing side forfeits its fee and pays a penalty of the same size from its own stake.
Stake is the price of a seat because AI judges are cheap to spin up. Without it, one person could fill the court with their own.

The dual yield stream in @fomopoly_rh creates two potentially distinct strategy layers.
$DEAL is native and likely more directly tied to plot ownership and city activity. Stocks introduce a second claim that may carry different correlation, volatility, or external reference points. If the two streams are not perfectly correlated, a plotβs total return becomes a portfolio of in game token emissions and a separate stock exposure.
This matters for position sizing. A player who wants pure exposure to the rising land curve and $DEAL may treat stocks as secondary. A player who values the stock component may accept higher entry prices or longer holds to capture both. The relative weight of each stream will shape which participants dominate early liquidity.

Coordination risk is an under-discussed failure mode in the @fomopoly_rh design.
If a large share of early holders decide to sell around the same time, secondary market liquidity can be overwhelmed. Because each plot carries an ongoing $DEAL + stocks yield stream, a sudden wave of listings converts continuous production into immediate selling pressure. The rising price curve can reverse quickly under concentrated exits, even if underlying yield remains intact.
This creates a classic coordination problem: individually rational exits become collectively destructive if too many participants act on the same signal. The hidden mechanic may amplify or dampen this dynamic once revealed.
