On Aug 20, 2023, two young Tigrayan women, Zewdu Haftu and Semhal Geberezgher were walking together in Mekelle, Tigray. At 7 p.m., military men in a patrol car stopped them near Desta Hotel.

Reports have emerged alleging that #Ethiopia's government has deployed foreign mercenaries alongside its military forces in the #Tigray region.
OSINT sources have linked the alleged personnel to #Thailand-based private defence contractor Mstar Defense, claiming that images and footage shared online show foreign fighters operating in the conflict zone.
The company's alleged involvement and the identities of those pictured remain independently unverified.

Today marks 6 years since the #Ethiopian regime unleashed its wild forces and exterminated more than a million #Tigrayans, raped more than 200K women & girls, displaced millions and destroyed the entire Tigrayan economy. Sadly, the genocide continued unabated.
The regime tore the Pretoria agreement, send hundreds of thousands of soldiers to Tigray and continue killing civilians using drones & ground forces.

SIX YEARS OF GENOCIDE. SIX YEARS OF IMPUNITY. AND THE GENOCIDAL WAR HAS BEEN RENEWED.
Nov 4, 2020 – Nov 4, 2026.
On 4 November 2020, a genocidal war was unleashed on #Tigray. Six years later, justice remains elusive, millions continue to suffer, and the perpetrators have not been held accountable.
The genocide did not end with the November 2022 Pretoria Agreement. For four years, the Ethiopian government failed to implement the core provisions of the agreement, rendering it a failed peace process. Its failure to address the root causes of the war, ensure the withdrawal of occupying forces, restore territorial integrity, guarantee the safe return of displaced people, and justice to the victims has paved the way for renewed warfare.
Since early August 2026, the genocidal war against #Tigray has been renewed. Drone strikes, military offensives, civilian casualties, displacement, and siege once again threaten the survival of Tigray.
We remember every life stolen, honour the survivors, and stand with the people of Tigray in their struggle for justice, dignity, and survival.
Our demands are clear:
* Immediate cessation of the renewed genocidal war and protection of civilians.
* Independent international investigations and accountability for perpetrators.
* Unhindered humanitarian access and restoration of essential services.
* A new, comprehensive, inclusive political dialogue and negotiated settlement addressing the root causes of the war.
* Justice, reparations, restoration of territorial integrity, and guarantees of non-recurrence.
The Pretoria Agreement has failed. There can be no return to a failed process. A new political path grounded in justice, accountability, equality, mutual recognition, and lasting peace is urgently needed.
Six years of genocide must not become a lifetime of impunity.
REMEMBER THE VICTIMS. STAND WITH THE SURVIVORS. STOP THE RENEWED WAR. DEMAND JUSTICE FOR TIGRAY.
