you become so good at protecting yourself from heartbreak that you slowly lose the courage to love deeply. because at its purest, love requires a certain willingness to look foolish. to give someone the power to hurt you & still believe they won’t.

Think it’s totally ok to admit that the Knicks aren’t playing like a good basketball team. Forget looking like NBA Champions, they look like a Play-In team.
