Our new website is now live: disabilityrightsuk.org/
It is a brand-new site, and we hope you like it. We have worked with Disabled people to make it an accessible site, and we will continue to improve it.
The big difference between when my parents went from the working class to the middle class and today was they didn't do it through debt, but through living wages, affordable housing, public healthcare, affordable education and a social safety net all afforded by fair taxes.

We're thrilled to introduce Paul as one of our #LDALeadersList winners 2022. We all know that healthcare is vital, but we do not all have equal access to it. Paul works hard to change this as a member of the Health Improvement Team at NHSE. Well done Paul!

I can remember calling my university lecturer mum once. When I graduated she sent me an email signed mum (academic)
Watching paramedics on the news tonight being interviewed, heart breaking listening to these professionals absolutely broken by a lack of investment in Health and Social Care for years. Imagine trying to keep someone alive as you queue outside the hospital

I can’t tell you just how relieved I am to see Oliver’s training being rolled out across England. Staff will now be given the skills they need to support autistic people and those who have a learning disability. Please retweet far and wide x
The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism has been launched. This is a vital step in ensuring we provide a voice for those who are not always heard.
