So I sourced them.🧵
7:10 AM. There’s only light outside because the moon is close to being full.
The sunrise isn’t for another 35 minutes.
DST is stupid and doing this permanently would be crazy during the Winter.
Wow the real story out of these municipal elections is incumbent Mayor of Hamilton Andrea Horvath getting crushed by Keanin Loomis whose platform includes safer and cleaner streets and financial discipline.
Imagine you come in as this big hot shot central banker.
Then nobody was impressed with or even knows what happened to the Sovereign Wealth Fund you announced months ago.
And only a handful of countries including Albania and Luxembourg agree to join your Defence Bank.

‘Go out and do brave things’: Canadian diver becomes first woman to dive from an iceberg

When my wife and I went to vote in the municipal election today we were sent to different tables but we had the same story - they didn’t ask for our IDs.
I put mine down on the table and the woman said “I don’t need to check that. You have your voter card.”
I said but I could be anyone opening people’s mailboxes.
My wife said they took her ID after she asked why they didn’t check it but they only casually looked at it as if to humour her.
This is unacceptable.
“The U.S. is closer on our trade position now.”
That’s the narrative coming out of Mark Carney and the PBO and being parroted by the Canadian meanwhile.
But in reality:
Mark Carney is stealing ideas from Maxime Bernier now.
Replacing the Indian Act has been part of the PPC’s platform for almost a decade.
His only good ideas are the unoriginal ones.

Halloween Hangout Day One: Part 2
There is no greater front-to-back hard rock Halloween album than Rob Zombie’s Hellbilly Deluxe.
He still closes his concerts with Dragua to this day.
It’s that good.
Not one G7 nation wanted to join Mark Carney’s defence bank scheme.
Who did?
Albania
Belgium
Greece
Latvia
Luxembourg
Romania
Turkey, and
Ukraine
If this isn’t a money laundering and tax haven operation I would be shocked.
How utterly pathetic of the bankster.
Now that the B.C. Conservatives won a majority government Mark Carney is a Conservative and the B.C. Conservatives are Liberals.
The crashing out is epic. 😆
More non-white immigrants than white Canadians believe there are too many immigrants.
What does that tell you about the quality of immigrant that the Liberals are bringing to Canada since 2015?
Are these progressive lunatics going to be banned from working?
Or travelling by air or train?
Or from restaurants and the movie theatres?
No?
Exactly. These people have no idea what it’s like to actually be ostracized from society.
Halloween Hangout Day One: Part 1
It’s Halloween Week 2026. I’m going to post a few Lo-Fi videos this week while I chill out listening to some of the Halloween / Spooky albums I own on vinyl.
First up is John Carpenter and Alan Howarth’s score for Halloween 2.
The Halloween series of movies generally start with a variation of John Carpenter’s original theme (with a few exceptions).
This version has always been my favourite because of how 80s it sounds and how much of this tone carries over into Horwath’s Halloween III: Season of the Witch score - which is the only connection that Obie has to the series as a whole (unfortunately).
After 18 months of Elbows Up now Doug Ford says we need to get a deal.
Oh really, Doug?
When did you decide that? An hour ago?
Doug Ford this morning (Oct 26) on US trade talks + new tariffs hitting Canadian trash:On the broader trade situation (after noting PM Carney’s recent contact with Trump):
“I think we need to get a deal. It’s beneficial to Canada, it’s beneficial to the United States. And as I said on American news, a tariff on Canada is no more than attacks on the American people. I’m hoping they’re moving… we look forward to a productive meeting today”
He pivoted to domestic priorities: big national infrastructure (Ring of Fire, small modular reactors, etc.), working with First Nations, and everyone prospering
On the new US tariffs announced Friday (including on trash/municipal waste — Ontario sends the majority of its trash south):
“It really affects us because the majority of all our trash goes down to the US. I’ve never believed in that. I believe we should take care of our own trash. I believe in turning trash into cash… everyone has to be responsible for the waste that they send out. I’ve been saying this last 20 years: take care of our own trash, but turn that into energy. That’s what we need to do.”
Regular Ford framing: deal preferred, tariffs hurt Americans too, but Ontario should stop exporting its waste and convert it to energy/value instead @fordnation
The current cope is Liberal voters convincing themselves that the Liberals and the NDP are still distinct parties.
The fact is they are politically aligned which is why Mark Carney reduced the Federal NDP to 7 seats - the votes went to him instead.
The result of the B.C. election is a harbinger of what is to come.
Unlike the Federal Government, that can borrow infinitely, the bill comes due for Canadian taxpayers.
