How do we know anything about ancient Rome?
Its most famous historian wrote about events 700 years before he was born. Then scribes copied it by hand for centuries — some bored, some careless, some unable to read Latin.

You can get a used Model 3 for less than a fully loaded 16" OLED MacBook Pro:
• 2020 Model 3 Standard Range with 95k miles, no accidents/damage & clean title: $14,190
• Fully loaded 16-inch MacBook Pro: $14,549
Not worth it. The extra $11,500 for 512 GB (which would allow you to run some frontier-ish models locally) is equivalent to nearly 5 years of Claude Max subscriptions.

That the Lula-Moraes government sought to seize Bolsonaro’s passport 7 minutes after election results were announced is literally all the proof you need that it’s a political persecution. Honest liberals have to acknowledge this or lose all credibility
If you want to see the future, read the Anthropic S-1.
The top 10 Fortune 500 customers are spending less than 1% of their opex on Anthropic.
Meanwhile, Anthropic has grown its own usage 250x and in April exceeded their monthly personnel expense.
Two weeks after Gemini 4 Argon, and on the heels of Gemini 4 Carbon, the "AI Expanded Access" upgrade option for Workspace STILL advertises Gemini 3.
I did say we'd be releasing our models periodically...introducing Gemini 4 Carbon, our next frontier model.
Following Argon's release just two weeks ago, Carbon shows the pace at which we’re pushing the frontier, it ranks #1 on the recently updated v5.0 of @ArtificialAnlys Intelligence Index at 59. It also leads across key cybersecurity evaluations scoring 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro for finding vulnerabilities, 54.8% on ExploitGym for exploitation, and 71.0% on CWE-bench for patching.
We’re seeing significant improvements in long-horizon tasks even compared to Argon, and we’ve strengthened frontier safeguards.
As we did with Argon, we’re going to roll it out gradually + responsibly. Some trusted cyber defenders will get access starting this week. We'll be expanding it to more partners through our Fairwind Program, ahead of wider availability soon, so hang tight!

Imagine that. Harvard is reinventing a great books college. And the students do really want to put down the phones and pick the classics up.
“A lot of what we get out of this class is the human experience, and you can’t get that out of AI,” said Peggy Urdan, a government and neuroscience major from Lexington, Mass. “The only way to get anything out of this class is to not use AI.”

This is part of why people who try Omarchy on some old potato PC find that their new MacBook machine suddenly isn't very attractive in comparison. There are a lot of common developer tasks that are just way, way faster on Linux (it's the same with Docker!).
$NFLX -35% since this post
Windows Copilot was so terrible it might very well have seeded the AI opposition we now see among normies. Useless functionality, hyped to the moon, and a dumb key on every keyboard that did nothing worthwhile. youtube.com/watch?v=erRVsllM…

Legacy media will never run this list, so I will.
2018, Flint, Michigan: Elon funded filtration systems for schools with unsafe water. Over $480K.
2018, Thailand: SpaceX engineers built a mini-submarine within days to help rescue a boys' soccer team trapped in a flooded cave.
2020, COVID: He sourced and delivered ventilators and supplies to hospitals for free.
2021: He gave Tesla shares worth about $5.7 billion to charity.
2021: He funded a $100M XPRIZE for carbon removal, one of the largest incentive prizes ever.
2022: Starlink kept Ukrainians connected when their networks went down.
2022, Tonga: Starlink helped reconnect the island after a volcano cut its undersea cable.
Wildfires, hurricanes, earthquakes: Starlink terminals keep showing up for rescuers and families.
And the biggest one, the one that's easy to miss: he's spent his fortune and 20+ years building clean energy, safer cars, and a future for humanity among the stars.
They call him a villain. The record says otherwise.
They should write a 400-page report about it and convene some more meetings before doing anything rash.
