Am I the only one that is really surprised there is no way to reliably add blocks to content using PHP? The block editor has a JS save() function that is not replicable in PHP. #WordPress #Gutenberg
To be a bit more precies: you can't generate valid markup for a static blocks. Its HTML comes from a JS save() function, and core has no PHP equivalent. You can insert existing markup or hand-port each block, but not build arbitrary blocks from attributes. #WordPress #Gutenberg
What is this new thing with the term 'Boutique'? All of a sudden I see all kinds of companies that are 'boutique finance' and 'boutique talent scouting' etc. Where did that come from?

I'm making a serious attempt to reduce support tickets to 0. I already introduced Form Integration to WP Help Scout Docs. And, I just released this fully customizable Gutenberg block, which allows users to delete their WP & EDD account. Available here: github.com/Dan0sz/edd-delete…
With all the #PHP2Shell mess this got a bit lost in there. But look here! A ✨ brand new update ✨ of @albertwp_. Such great new features such as safe mode and connect your local site. Go check it out

Cool!
Should not be affecting my work then 👍 already using the mcp plugin + albertwp.com/ by @mark_jansen but I look forward to more abilities shipped in WC! Currently filling the gaps a bit with our own plugin.

I released #WP Help Scout Docs v3.5 earlier this week, featuring many improvements, like Form Integration! Now you can easily integrate your forms plugin to search your @helpscout docs while your users are filling out your contact form! 👉 daan.dev/blog/wordpress/wp-h…
Except maybe for the hosts that backportet (is that a word?) to 7.4 anyway
I guess the upside is we’ll see a quicker outphasing of old PHP versions than ever before #PHP

Just in case you needed a reminder, here is why half the internet still runs PHP.

Unless you live under a stone, everybody will have heard about PHP today.
Now, please realize that the vast majority of Open Source Software, like PHP, and including PHP, is largely maintained by **unpaid volunteers**.

Skeletons are the worst cancer in the history of user interfaces. Just make loads fast. Ping across the ocean is never more than 200ms, maybe 300ms if you're Australian, just return the damn data at that speed and you never need to even think about this crap.

Elon straps some high-pressure compressed air thrusters under a Roaster, seals it to a ramp, then drops it and calls it a "flying car"
No spatial navigation system, no human operator, no actual flight. No regulatory clearance for this to even be legal.
Reminds me of the hype over his AI robots that were found to actually be human operated.
Or the CyberTruck that would be able to "serve as a boat" to cross rivers.
OG's also remember the underground highways, and of course, the moon colonization shtick.
The guys more of a magician than an engineer, people still fall for it, and for that I can't even hate.
It's just crazy how many people become believers based on pure theatrics.
