BREAKING!
In a late night agreement #BillC224 - An Act to establish a national framework for the prevention and treatment of cancers linked to firefighting - has passed 3rd Reading in the Senate unamended and will become law! Royal Assent will occur in the coming days. Congratulations to all who worked so hard on this bill - in particular our firefighters and their representatives. As Senate critic and supporter of this bill, I have said this many times: firefighters are always there for us and now we must be there for them.

It was kind of surreal to get vaccinated today in the @UTM RAWC (the same spot where I wrote so many exams during undergrad). Thanks @THP_hospital for such a smooth experience and thanks to the @MississaugaFES firefighter who was so understanding of my fear of needles!!

Very saddened to hear. This news. With @IAFF1212 I had the opportunity to first work with Jim several years ago, he became a friend and since, we would always say hi, catch up on things. Always a gentleman, always had time for us. goldblattpartners.com/news-e… – at Kingston, Ontario
