Cognyte won a tender to sell intercept spyware to Myanmar's state telecom weeks before the 2021 military coup, Reuters previously reported. Meta banned the firm the same year, saying its customers used fake accounts to target journalists and politicians in Kenya, Mexico and Indonesia.
The firm is part of an Israeli surveillance industry that grew big as a result of the military's monitoring of Palestinians, whose phone calls Israel's Unit 8200 has intercepted and stored by the millions, including to carry out genocide in Gaza and enforce a brutal illegal occupation in Jerusalem and the West Bank.

It’s disappointing to have to say this, but @CBSNews, this is a serious failure of editorial reporting. I clearly state in this clip that while I have not personally been to Cuba, I have spoken with Cubans who have described it as a dictatorship, and I believe them. That’s the reason my TV never goes to the internet. It’s in a separate VLAN and it’s completely cut out of the internet. This is like this for years. I enable it occasionally to upgrade the FW because there were glitches with VRR (I have a Sony Bravia).
And of course I use an Apple TV box and everyone in the house uses that.

So pissed we've allowed LLM's to be called AI . LLM's are not intelligent. They cannot reason like a human. If programmed well they can guess the next, most accurate thing to output after any previous output based on programmed criteria, but it doesn't "know" a goddamn thing.
