🚨 If emissions continue as they are, rugby grounds in the Pacific Islands will be underwater by 2050. It’s time to end climate injustice for the people whose land and lives are most threatened by rising sea levels. 📣 RT and spread the word: #StopRugbySinking 1/2

Here’s hoping that our next leader doesn’t slavishly follow an idealised view of the American way. I would recommend a read of this book for whoever is interested in the job

Kwarteng targets overseas aid budget cuts to help fill fiscal hole ft.com/content/051b5005-9b4b… It’s so easy for the rich to force the poor to take all the pain when times get tough….the least moral British government I have experienced in my life. Poor lives matter.

This is the grubbiest kind of vice signalling. It's also fiscally irrelevant. Given the state of UK public finances, the aid budget is a rounding error ft.com/content/051b5005-9b4b…

Having now decided that it was wrong to give an extra gift to the 45% tax payers does this mean she is going to honour Boris’ pledges on Universal credit I.e help those with less?

Man’s inhumanity to (wo)man doesn’t always surprise but it does disgust. This is not God/Allah/Yahweh’s will. Thank you Christian Aid for standing together with the people of Afghanistan and for providing hope for them.
Newscast - The Liz Truss BBC Local Radio Interviews - BBC Sounds. I don’t normally get passionate when politicians speak but this selection makes me boil. I worry that the Tory party needs rescuing - 28-32mins are particularly blood boiling. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0d3fl…

We should never forget that dreadful day - so many taken so long before their time. The heartbreak spread far and wide through all those families and friends who lost people they loved.
Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives we lost on September 11, 2001. We honor their memory, the courage of our first responders, and the men and women in uniform who continue to keep us safe.

I’ve signed the Christian Aid Loss and Damage petition seeking climate justice following significant aid cuts . I know things are looking tough here but we are still very fortunate to have been born in the UK. christianaid.org.uk/get-invo…
