Over the international break, I sat down with SC Freiburg Head Coach, Julian Schuster.
It turned into a fascinating chat about his own and the club's journey, the Freiburg DNA, German football identity, and the Bundesliga's role in world football🇩🇪⤵️

Jobe Bellingham's breakthrough season?
Playing further forward, with Joey Veerman providing cover behind him, seems to be bringing out the best in the 21-year-old👏
@SebSB joined us on The Fussball Channel, and spoke on his recent development.

Harry Kane extending until 2029 is about much more than his goals. He’s become indispensable to how Bayern play.
Meanwhile, Jobe Bellingham’s breakthrough at Dortmund raises an interesting question: was it always about finding the right role?
Discussed both with @SebSB.

This was a great chat with Markus, as always. Lots covered.
Always a pleasure to be joined by @SebSB on The Fussball Channel. This time, discussing:
📝 Kane's EXTENSION!
💪 Bayern's best performance yet?
🌟 Bellingham's breakthrough at Dortmund
⚠️ Leipzig's brittleness despite "so much talent"

No Kompany. No Diaz. No Gnabry. No Musiala. No Saibari. No problem.
To win with such control away to Atletico Madrid deserved A LOT of respect.
I was an Upamecano-sceptic. But I’ve been fully converted.
What that position demands of him and how he manages it in this Bayern team, is truly remarkable.
Bayern almost seem a bit more… human this season.
Injuries, points dropped late (ie Viking, Arsenal, Dortmund), and even a missed Kane penalty😅
@janaagefjortoft and I discuss, and give our reasons why🤷♂️

It was the "perfect storm" for Dortmund. No Kompany. Two early injuries for Bayern. Kane's penalty miss. They needed luck to get a result at the Allianz.
BUT huge credit to Kovac and Dortmund. Switched their formation, willing to keep the ball, and played on the front foot👏
Dortmund come from behind twice to draw at Bayern Munich in a Klassiker packed with chances, injuries and late drama. How much did Dortmund’s tactical approach contribute, and should Bayern be worried?
We discuss on The Fussball Channel⤵️
