I think tackles like these should be a red card (I know they never are). This is what Shawcross was trying to do with Ramsey and Taylor with Eduardo, they were both trying to get the ball but do so with unnecessary force to intimidate the player and ‘leave one on them’. The problem is, as we saw in those two cases, you get it ever so slightly wrong and we’re talking ambulances and oxygen masks. It’s the same reason you’re not allowed to drive 100mph. Going in with the force adds absolutely nothing to the act of winning possession or the tackle itself. It’s intended to intimate but but you get it ever so slightly wrong you’re looking at a serious injury. Referees need to get out of the dark ages with this stuff, stop fussing about technical areas and whether a throw in takes six seconds instead of seven seconds. Protect players and punish violent conduct properly 👍

There has to be a strong case now for Sky and other channels ceasing to broadcast Manchester City games live until their punishment has been decided. Their games are ghost games.

**EXCLUSIVE**
Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak met a senior UK government minister to discuss the UAE’s investments in Britain just days before the club’s guilty verdicts were announced.
Al Mubarak asked to meet Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds on 14 September in his capacity as CEO of Mubadala Investment Company, the Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund, sources tell Bloomberg.
The pair held a private meeting in Downing Street on that date, the people said. Al Mubarak talked about current and future UAE investment in Britain, they said.
The conversation covered the full range of the relationship including defence, security, intelligence and trade, they said.
Eleven days later, on 25 September, the Athletic reported Man City had been found guilty of breaking Premier League rules.
On 29 September, the Premier League confirmed Manchester City had been found guilty of artificially boosting its balance sheet by more than £900 million.
The fact of the meeting so close to the verdict will raise further questions about the UK government’s handling of the case.
Andy Burnham has faced criticism, including from his own ministers and officials, after he publicly suggested Man City’s Abu Dhabi owners should not be disqualified from running the club because of the investment they bring to Britain.
Earlier, Bloomberg reported that Emirati officials have warned the UK government that the severity of the ruling could undermine their appetite for future grand-scale commitments in Britain.

This man is an MP. Sadly he is not alone; the degree of questioning of this terrorist attack is staggering. Every time you think we’ve reached peak bigotry it goes to the next level.
I am genuinely shocked as to the speed of this enquiry by the Israeli spokespeople!!! Normally it takes them months if not years. I think i smell a rat!

We need to be cleaner than this. When we make a mistake like this, we need to clean it immediately otherwise we will complicate things down the line.”
I never once agreed to there being a 70mph speed limit on the M57, it was forced on me from the beginning.
As such, I’m going to drive at 120mph on my way home from work later.

This was my “favourite” sham of the lot. A fake CEO using a stock photo. 4yrs ago. Incredible.

When City announced 8Xbet as a commercial partner in July 2022, just out of interest, a LinkedIn profile for one of 8xbet's co-founders, a woman supposedly called Trinh Thu Trang, had this image on her LinkedIn profile

Not to back an Arsenal player but Bernardo kicking him from behind then being too scared to look at him when Odegaard rightfully confronts him, kinda tells you all you need to know.
That is ratty behaviour

This right in the middle of their era of cheating. Kicking the ball back to them for no reason, QPR safe from relegation with former Liverpool and City players in the QPR team and celebrating with them after the game ended.
We all know what happened here. xitter.gq/UzziMajid/status/21035…
