The Elba volleyball team has certainly become a really fun team to cover this year. They have come a long way since the beginning of the season. I put them as a team that would be an improved team this year and they have been, especially after watching them in the Goldenrod Conference Tournament when they took a set from Central Valley. They play with grit, especially on defense. They are one win away from its first state tournament since 2006. @EPS_Bluejays @theVBreportNEB @THEnebpreps

Right now, the Independent area has Centura, Central Valley, Riverside and Elba as subdistrict champions that will play for a district title on Saturday. Aurora and St. Paul will play each other on Wednesday for a spot as well. Should have a few more in Class B on Thursday and maybe a few more as wildcards. Going to be interesting. @theVBreportNEB @THEnebpreps #nebpreps
