At an anti-illegal immigration protest in Portsmouth, there was a wonderful example of an integrated, diverse British community. One of the patriots was a transgender woman, and not just a transgender woman - also "converting to Islam". Surely the police - who appear in rainbow cars at Pride events, and issue gender fluid officers with male and female warrant cards to use depending on how they identify - would respect the identity of this gender-fluid Muslim? Nope. They arrested this diverse lady. And surely the BBC and the Guardian, who celebrate all things gender-queer and parade drag queens and transgenders across their pages at every opportunity, would stand up for this stunning and brave 76 year old patriot woman? No, the BBC described her as a man. I thought misgendering was "literal trans genocide"? And where were the lefties while a Muslim transwoman (quite a rare breed, due to being chucked off roofs) was arrested? Did Stand Up To Racism condemn state oppression of genderfluid religious minorities? Nope. And what's interesting is that there were cisgender Muslim women at the Stand Up To Racism counter-protest who WEREN'T arrested for wearing burqas. Some people have said, "Well, he's not a real Muslim." What do you mean, "real Muslim"? We're treating people differently based on their religion, and the police are now theological experts with the powers to divine, to look into someone's soul, see their connection with God or Allah, and decide if they're a real Muslim or a pretend Muslim? I'd like to see the police training manual for that. And if it's okay for Muslim women to wear a burka, and anyone can convert to Islam, and anyone can be a woman by saying that they're a woman, why was this bloke - sorry, I mean, delicate fragrant lady in a burka - treated as a bloke, instead of a woman?

We expect so little of kids. That’s because we see them all as victims of different identities. We don’t push victimhood at Michaela and it is a BIG reason why we get such great results. You can do the same for your kids - parents and teachers! 👇 youtu.be/Jo-oP7K-BTQ?is=W7bS…

“White middle-class people from outside of London would be bussed in by the unions in order to…shout at us and drown us out.” “[Black mums] wanted another choice of school for their child, and these white middle-class people from outside of London would come and stop those mums from being able to hear what I was saying.” Britain’s Strictest Headmistress Katharine Birbalsingh established Michaela Community School in 2014. Three tenets drive the education model: discipline, teacher-led instruction, and, what Birbalsingh calls, “small-c conservative values,” such as self-sacrifice, ownership, and accountability. Twelve years later, Michaela has repeatedly ranked #1 in student progress in the United Kingdom. Indeed, they receive 1000 visitors per year from around the world that want to witness the success of the Michaela Community School education model for themselves. @Miss_Snuffy

I too know what happens when values die. That’s why I stand for New Zealand to continue as a liberal country that supports free speech because I have been subjected to government silencing. I know how shocking it is. I know from experience that academic freedom in NZ is a myth. I oppose Digital ID and getting rid of cash. I oppose ‘hate speech’ because what gets defined as ‘hate’ depends upon who is in power. I oppose government overreach and intrusion, eugenicist paternalism, and removal of the right to decide what medications and treatments an individual might take. I oppose Government use of brainwashing techniques, and Hitler style propaganda. (Read Bernay’s book “Propaganda” and “Manufacturing Consent” by Edward S. Herman and Noam Chomsky). I support giving people truthful information in everyday common language, and education in the skills needed to be able to make an informed decision. I support compassion, respect, ethical and honest behaviour. I believe about 10% of people are born psychopaths. They are drawn to positions of power. We should teach people how to identify them so they can try to protect themselves. Follow @karenmitchell__ I have met and listened to women who escaped communist North Korea where every aspect of their lives was manipulated and shaped for them by the government. Education is key. Ethics is key. There is a famous Māori saying: He aha te mea nui? What is the most important thing. He tangata, he tangata, he tangata. It is people, it is people, it is people. But… Māori words can have multiple meanings, and meaning can change depending on vowel length (short, long). There are two languages we might say - a common one and an esoteric one (Te kauae raro, te kauae runga / the lower jaw, the upper jaw). An everyday meaning and a meaning known to certain elders and leaders. I was taught the upper jaw meaning of ‘he tangata’ which is ‘he ta ngā tā = it is the ethics, it is the ethics, it is the ethics (what is right, straight, ethical).
I want to ask the students screaming “Death to America”, do you have any idea what happens when American values die? Because I do. My family fled Iran, a country where freedom died. You don’t know what you have until it’s gone. You think America is oppressive because you have never experienced real oppression. You think silence is violence because you’ve never been silenced. You think words are dangerous because you have never watched a government drag someone away for speaking them. You think capitalism is evil because you have never stood in a bread line. You think borders are immoral because you have never had to flee across one. You think revolution is romantic because you have never had a revolution take everything from you. I have. And that’s why I refuse to be quiet.

Konstantin Kisin, who grew up in the Soviet Union, said something that stopped me cold. While the West teaches its children to be critical of — and often ashamed of — their own country, places like China and Russia are raising theirs to be strong, confident, and focused on science and excellence. Not equity initiatives. He put it bluntly: we’re in a real battle of civilizations. And if we keep weakening our own foundations from within, how exactly do we expect to compete? His line about bridges hit especially hard: “A bridge doesn’t work very well if it’s built on diversity instead of math.” It’s a sobering reminder from someone who’s seen ideological self-sabotage up close. What do you make of this take — is teaching national self-doubt a luxury the West can afford, or a strategic vulnerability in a competitive world?

It’s Sunday morning, and I haven’t had a cigarette since Thursday morning. After 28 years, I’ve actually managed to quit. I’m using a vape, which I guess is kind of cheating, but it’s getting me through this, so I’ll take it. Thursday was hard, but Friday I wanted to pull my hair out. Yesterday and today have been easier. See, the vape provides nicotine, but cigarettes have a whole cocktail of addictive chemicals in them, and each kind is slightly different to encourage brand loyalty. Someone who smokes Marlboros, for example, won’t get quite the same satisfaction if they smoke a Camel. With the vape, I’m missing out on all of the other addictive chemicals I was getting through my cigarettes, so I’m definitely still having cravings. It is nice not to have to go outside to smoke anymore, though, and I can already tell the difference in my breathing.

Anti Vapers Back Pedal! (Satire) -by Pippa Starr The anti vaping advocates scuttled from their fast sinking ship. Here’s a speech from an anti vaping advocate that saw the the writing on the wall (via ChatGPT). : As someone who once staunchly opposed vaping as a means to quit smoking, I find myself humbled by the evolving scientific landscape surrounding this controversial topic. In the pursuit of public health, it's crucial to acknowledge when new evidence challenges preconceived notions, and for me, the evidence supporting vaping as a smoking cessation aid has become too compelling to ignore. In the past, my concerns about vaping were rooted in uncertainties about long-term health effects and potential risks, which were valid considerations given the limited research available at the time. However, recent studies have begun to paint a more nuanced picture, revealing the potential benefits of vaping for those desperately trying to break free from the grips of traditional tobacco. One key revelation is the harm reduction aspect of vaping. While not entirely risk-free, vaping has been shown to be less harmful than smoking combustible cigarettes. The elimination of combustion, which is responsible for many harmful chemicals found in traditional cigarettes, presents a significant advantage. Moreover, the variety of available e-liquids allows users to control nicotine levels, providing a gradual approach to weaning off nicotine altogether. This flexibility addresses one of my initial concerns regarding the potential for vaping to perpetuate nicotine addiction. The success stories of individuals who have effectively quit smoking through vaping cannot be dismissed. Personal anecdotes, combined with emerging clinical data, demonstrate that vaping has the potential to be a valuable tool in the arsenal against smoking addiction. In light of this evolving understanding, it is incumbent upon us to reconsider our stance on vaping and to actively support its integration into smoking cessation programs. Public health policies should be adaptable, responsive to emerging evidence, and geared towards maximizing harm reduction strategies. It's essential to approach this shift in perspective with caution, acknowledging that continued research is necessary to fully comprehend the long-term effects of vaping. However, clinging to outdated views in the face of evolving evidence does a disservice to the countless smokers searching for an effective way to quit. In conclusion, as a former anti-vaping advocate, I recognize the need for a paradigm shift. Vaping, when approached with a harm reduction mindset, holds promise as a valuable tool to help smokers break free from the shackles of traditional tobacco. It's time to set aside preconceptions and embrace a more nuanced and evidence-based approach to improve public health outcomes.
