❌ Avoid using useState() for complex state management in React
✅ Instead use useReducer:
1. Predictable State Transitions
2. Easier to test
3. Scales better

🚨 React developers: 🚨
You don’t have to fetch data via useEffect.
Here are 7 compelling alternatives to fetching data via useEffect:
1. react-query
2. swr
3. XState
4. React Router 6.4
5. @remix_run loader
6. @nextjs getServerSideProps/getStaticProps
7. rtk query

So I hear the “GDG Nairobi Organizing Team” was asked to sign NDAs to stop them from giving me inside information☹️
Anyway, I have some more interesting stories ☕️☕️
I’ll try to compile them during the week, and post a thread about “what has been happening” in the community 🎤 – at Nairobi, Kenya
