Imagine how easy moving would be if you had a robotic swarm that schlepped all your stuff?🦾🤖📦 Turns out that instead of cooperating, additional robots get in each other’s way.🤦🏽 A research paper from my group published today offers a simple solution🍎

We found that cooperative transport (think ants🐜) can spontaneously emerge in a swarm of noisy robots 🤖 from mechanical interactions alone⚙️. It even improves with increasing payload size🦾.

Adding dance to your courting rituals may improve your reproduction chances, even if you are microscopic algae. In our work, just published in Nature Communications, we synthetically reproduced dynamics previously observed in such microscopic organisms.

Did you know that you can interrupt aging by forming memories? In our work just published in Physical Review Letters (with Mengshi Wei and Olivier Dauchot), we found this to be the case for light-activated quasi-2D disordered elastic networks.

Meeting @thephysicsgirl - Inspiring.
Meeting her at the #apsmarch meeting during #π day - Delicious!
#PiDay #thephysicsgirl @apsmeetings – at New Orleans, LA
#BegRohu2014 there were some pictures of ours taken from the motor boats of the organizers. Any idea where are they?
