Major Shopping Malls in Europe
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This map shows garbled text typical of AI-generated images. Finland's mall is labelled "Mall of Tripia", but the Helsinki mall is called Mall of Tripla. Bosnia's label reads "Bosnjevo". Other names and logos on the map may also be wrong. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mall_of_T…

It's that time of year again, leaves on the line... 🍂🙄
Well, we're here to tell you: It's Not Just A Leaf!
It's millions of leaves falling onto the tracks which, when crushed under passing trains, can turn into slippery mulch - the black ice of the railway.
But don't worry, we're ready for autumn! Teams across Northern, @TPExpressTrains, @networkrail and wider industry are working together to tackle leaf fall, reduce disruption and keep you moving safely.

Today we named a train!
Train 195 126 is now called ‘Peak District 75’, commemorating the 75th anniversary of England’s first National Park and the role that the railway has & will continue to play.
Great to celebrate with partners and volunteers from @peakdistrict & @vpdd 🙏 – at Manchester, England

🚆 PRESS RELEASE:
BRTA calls on DfT & Northern Trains to secure retired Welsh trains to end northern rail overcrowding.
Recent figures from The Yorkshire Post reveal that almost 1 in 4 Northern rail services on certain key routes are running with shortened carriages, leaving passengers facing daily overcrowding and delays.
The British Regional Transport Association (BRTA) is highlighting an immediate, practical solution:
As Transport for Wales (@transport_wales) withdraws its fleet of Class 158 Express Sprinters—leased from Angel Trains—to make way for new Class 197 units, these carriages are coming off hire.
Because Northern @northernassist already operates an active Class 158 fleet, acquiring these off-lease trains offers a plug-and-play solution. It would allow Northern to lengthen busy peak-time services across Yorkshire and the North without requiring complex fleet re-training for crews.
Passing up this opportunity while regional passengers suffer from daily capacity shortages would be a failure of strategic transport planning.
We are urging the @DfT, local Northern MPs, and regional transport authorities to coordinate with Angel Trains and act swiftly to get these carriages cascaded to the North.

Yesterday, my daughter, Kyra, passed away peacefully after a 9 month and 11 day fight against one of the cruelest diseases I’ve ever seen up close. She was diagnosed with Brain Cancer, specifically Glioblastoma. I have felt all of your concern and love for these months and wasn’t ready to be anymore specific than I was.
Kyra was a 28-year-old young woman who loved deeply and who is impossible to describe in 280 characters. While her life got stolen from her, she handled these months with courage, poise, and resolve. And all I want is for no family to feel what we feel today. For no young person to suffer the way she did.
In lieu of flowers, if you are moved to make a memorial gift, please consider “The Kyra Fund” (fundraise.gbmresearch.org/th…)
This fund will be used solely to research treatments for Glioblastomas.
