I'm having a blast with Elastic Agent Skills + Elastic CLI + OpenCode + Neovim + Claude 🚀 1/11

The future Elastic is one of the pioneers, among the companies furthest ahead on AI. Learning to integrate all of this with the stack is a step toward the future, and it takes a fairly low-level understanding of how the architecture works. 10/11

Building that understanding now is an investment in your future résumé. 11/11

Spoke at Holberton School Bordeaux yesterday about my journey as a freelance Elasticsearch consultant 🔥 @holbertonschool @HolbertonFRA One thing I told the students: there are 2 axes to a tech career. And we all obsess over the wrong one. linkedin.com/posts/mathieuel…

Axis 1: pure technical skills. That's the part everyone works on. Axis 2: the business side. Who you are, your story, your brand, your offer, your ambition level. As techies, we neglect axis 2. That's a mistake.

Going deep on one niche (Elasticsearch for me) is what lets me work with clients in Switzerland, Luxembourg and the US — from Bordeaux. The topic is endless. My DMs are open, anywhere in the world 😉

Ruby on rails or django? Can't decide for my next project! Maybe both in parallel and choose later? Can be a nice experiment...

Thinking meta: if you are back in 1998, building websites and being enthousiast, you innovate and you are a pioneer. What would be the equivalent today ? As creating "classic" saas is mainstream (even if they can be game changers) ?

Maybe its about web3 / blockchain / dao / defi. Even if it sounds mainstream today so much work has to be done to implement and create the corresponding services..
Building a small poc: vuejs + bootstrap dashboard + python flask backend talking to my elasticsearch cluster. Still like coding after all this years. Technologies changed, frontends became complex. And its only the beginning ! The adventure continues ! #AlwaysLearning
